super quick service and cozy atmosphere! we loved the falafel plate and hummus/pita appetizers — large sized portions! only one main option, but still amazing place for vegan eaters 🧆

This was my first visit to Petra Cafe. I was really looking forward to having some good Shawarma, which I love. I had the Shawarma sandwich in pita. I don't know how they cooked the Shawarma, but it was not traditional in any way. Clearly not cooked on the upright skewer. It was cubed pieces of chicken that were clearly fried. And, to top it off, there were more dill pickles in the sandwich than meat or greens. The three sauces served with it were quite bland and did not really add to the flavor at all. the only one that had real flavor was the garlic one. I was so very disappointed and unfortunately, I will not be going back.

Amazing service and good. The decor was great. I ordered the chicken shawarma wrap and chicken Sharma platter. Both were great. I let our server know we would be driving back home thst might and it ws about a 3 hour drive so he checked in with us multiple times and made sure we had a great experience. Pricing is very reasonable for santa barbara. Highly recommend!!!

Pickup order. Got 2 fries instead of the 3 ordered. Food is not fresh at all. Even the fries appears to be reheated. Waste of money.

A pretty interesting restaurant in downtown Santa Barbara. We went there because we were craving some Shawarmas. We decided to go here because the food looked good. I have to say, the vibes here are great! The design inside is very nice and the seating in the back is very peaceful, especially since there is a water feature. As for the food, however, it was very basic. The shawarma was extremely basic and not well seasoned. The sauce that came with it also didn’t taste like anything. The fries were okay, though. For such pricey shawarma, we expected a bit more. Overall, the food is bland, but the vibe is great, and the gentleman taking orders is extremely kind and helpful!!

Had the falafel wrap, it was quite good. Cute restaurant, nice outdoor patio in the back. My son had the falafel and roasted veg served on pilaf, which was really good.
Check your receipts! We ordered kofta wraps x2, which were supposed to be $16 each. Good was okay but kind of greasy. After we left realize they charged us $18 each before tax or tips. Would not recommend for being deceptive

Food is horribly bad. I ordered two falafel wraps, chicken shawarma and minced lamb wrap. Rice tastes like it's been cooked and warmed several times.
Chicken shawarma was very small and doesn't look like a shawarma at all (it had zucchini!!!) and it has just few pieces of chicken that doesn't even taste like chicken!
