Oh my GOODNESS! I called Christopher to order the combo plate for pickup. Chicken, pork, coconut rice, plantains, beans, and coleslaw. DAMN DOES IT SLAP. I've lived in Santa Barbara for over 10 years and this is easily, the most delicious, flavorful meal that I've had outside of the most top-tier restaurants in SB. And so much food! The chicken and pork is succulent and rich. All the flavors are unique and special- you're not gonna get anything like it in SB. I'm so glad I went out of my comfort zone tonight! I almost never write reviews, but I felt compelled bc it's that good and he's worth supporting. FYI he isn't on bath st. anymore. He's on mission street, but yelp hasn't updated the address yet. Call Christopher to place an order for pickup or do DoorDash. Super worth it!!

A culinary triumph! Familiar with genuine Caribbean flavors, this pop-up stood out remarkably. The blend of traditional Caribbean flavors with hints of caramelized fruit and other "Sheffy" touches elevated the entire meal and was nothing short of genius. Also their unmatched hospitality, waiting outside with a special treat despite my tardiness, was the cherry on top. Highly recommended!

Great flavor! Went late at night and so got a lot of bones and skin. But the food was excellent

Amazing food and staff. Both times I've gone the food has been top notch, plus they gave samples to my friend who was with us but didn't order anything.

Kool Runniz is a pop up food service that can be found in local businesses in the Santa Barbara area. They do catering and aswell.I got excited upon finding this local food business And even more when I was told they have "**** chicken"Typically on their menu you can findJerk pork, j*** chicken and some veggie options Meals are fixed with rice and peas, plantains and cabbageThey do tacos tooJerk chicken:Authentic j*** chicken is done on the grill..A somewhat smoker contraption This is typical in Jamaican restaurants It's spiced heavily so that even off the grill it's ready to be consumed But the majority of places have an additional liquid j*** sauce made from scratch.Scotch bonnet peppers are known to take center stage in the sauce and also in the dry rub for the grilling Fish, tofu, pork, all kinds of meats are done in this style and fashionSo now that you know a little on history..Let's go into the present Some people do j*** chicken in the oven or a combo of the latter with oven..Kool Runninz is one of them...The spices were there... Friendly enough for the masses of Santa Barbara ( traditional stylee can be unforgivably hot)The chicken I thought was just okThe rice and beans ( in West Indian culture it's called rice and peas)Was good...It's standard to have notes of coconut from coconut milk in the rice along with thyme and possibly peppersThe coconut was detectable and I'm a big fanNot a fan of cabbage so I went for extra rice( shout out to my carb lovers out there)The plantains...ah em... I said the plantains...Wow, I've eaten plantains in different stylesLook Runniz is easily in the top 3 of all time..Crisp edges, chewy ( just enough) inside..With great texture...Overall I thought they delivered a delicious alternative To my everyday Santa Barbara experience And I'm glad I came across them

THE golden nugget of SB. youre missing out if you havent tried it. The meat is tender, seasoned beautifully and just bomb. The rice is aromatic and always cooked so perfectly. Slaw is tangy and crunchy. Platanos are f****** sensational. Plantains really stick out because they're rare to find at restaurants in the area. Ive had the chicken too and i love it, I just generally go for pork because it has less tiny bones. I cant recommend this place enough because everything tastes like its made with love and by someone seriously dangerous in the kitchen! I hear they cater too. This is mine and my boyfriends favorite favorite treat. Big ups to this small business

Map sent indicate this maybe their house or Central headquarters. They are out and about in town on different locations on different days with their food. I found them near the Santa Barbara winery on a Sunday and my friends and I tried their Jamaican pork and the Jamaican chicken and we love both dishes.
