Great pizza and a lovely experience every time. This was my fourth visit, and the food has been consistently amazing each time. We had a margherita pizza, marinara pizza, and spritz. Risch, who I believe is the manager, is very friendly and welcoming. My favorites are the Margherita pizza and the winter citrus salad — everything is so flavorful and freshly made. If you enjoy Neapolitan-style pizza, this place is definitely worth trying. They have a beautiful terrace as well as cozy indoor seating. Definitely one of my favorite Italian spots in Santa Barbara!

Went here after searching for
Excellent Italian food in santa barbara. Obviously the chef's no what traditional italian cuisine should look like, and taste like and they hit it out of the park! Definitely worth the time for lunch!

Came here because we were really looking forward to eating some authentic Neapolitan pizza. Unfortunately that was not the case. The place rebranded after being the Santa Barbara location for Pizzeria da Michele, but mentions they still offer the exact same level of authentic Neapolitan pizza. That couldn’t be further from the truth or from how actual Neapolitan pizza tastes and feels like. What they really offer is more of a “slightly italianized” version of American pizza by using some ingredients that a Neapolitan pizzeria would use but their pizzas look and taste nothing like real thing, so don’t be deceived by the pictures.

Had such a great experience here while visiting Santa Barbara. The location on State Street is charming and full of character, and the food was absolutely delicious. The pizza was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with quality ingredients. Everything we ordered was excellent, and the service was attentive and welcoming from start to finish. You can really feel the care that goes into this place. Highly recommend if you’re in Santa Barbara!

5 stars, without a doubt. Copper is hands down one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in Santa Barbara, and honestly one of the best pizzas I’ve ever eaten anywhere. From the very first bite, I could tell this place was something special. The pizza was unbelievably good — perfectly balanced, incredibly fresh, and so authentic that it instantly took me back to Italy. I was in Naples just a few weeks ago, and I can genuinely say that the taste here is the real deal. The cacio e pepe and margherita flavors were strikingly similar to what I had there, which is not something I say lightly.
What impressed me even more was how satisfying the pizza was without feeling heavy at all. I ate the entire pizza by myself, and somehow still felt great afterward. That says a lot about the quality of the ingredients and the care that goes into making the food. You can really taste the difference.
The whole experience was amazing from start to finish. The owners were so welcoming and passionate, and they explained that they make their fresh pasta in-house every single day. That level of dedication and authenticity really shows in everything they do. It’s rare to find a place that delivers not only incredible food, but also such genuine hospitality.
If you’re in Santa Barbara, Copper is an absolute must-visit. Whether you’re craving truly authentic Neapolitan-style pizza or just want an unforgettable meal, this place deserves all the praise. I’ll definitely be back, and I already can’t wait for my next visit.

My mom and I walked in yesterday (Mother’s Day) wanting some pizza but the waiters and hosts did not even acknowledge us even tho the place was basically empty. Even after seating ourselves and waiting for 5 minutes and absolutely nothing. We’ve never felt more discriminated against at a restaurant til now, we ended up walking out.

We visited this restaurant after seeing it recommended by two German influencers, but unfortunately, we cannot share their positive impression.
The restaurant is centrally located in Santa Barbara, with a paid parking lot conveniently reachable within a two-minute walk. At first glance, the venue makes a good impression — attractive architecture and a well-known name create certain expectations. We had reserved a table indoors. While the ambiance and service were acceptable overall, neither stood out in any particularly positive way.
For dinner, my wife ordered a Margherita pizza with artichokes, while I chose a Diavola with mushrooms and garlic. After a reasonable waiting time, I was initially served the wrong pizza — a Margherita with mushrooms instead of my order. To the staff’s credit, the mistake was handled politely and corrected without any issues.
Unfortunately, the food quality itself was disappointing. My wife’s pizza arrived with several noticeably burnt spots on the top, while the dough inside was still undercooked. My replacement Diavola also had multiple heavily charred areas, and all the garlic slices had been piled onto a single section of the pizza rather than evenly distributed.
Including two Diet Cokes, the bill came to $82 plus tip. Given the quality of preparation, we did not feel that the price was justified. Overall, while the location and appearance of the restaurant are appealing, the dining experience unfortunately did not meet expectations.

Amazing experience at Copper Coffee Pot. The service was excellent from start to finish. The Margherita pizza was fresh and delicious, and the pesto pasta was absolutely incredible. Everything tasted high quality and homemade. Definitely coming back again.

Food was mediocre, the 20% gratuity added automatically without notice anywhere.
The vibe is ok though
