Great quick dinner! Our Margherita Pizza was awesome. The patio was nice to sit on in the warm sun. Can't wait to go back!

I went here last year with my sister. It was really good food. I really enjoyed the food. The pizza was good love the crust. It was just expensive too expensive, but I would definitely try it if I was to go back.

Servers were rude. Pizza was cold but also burnt. Black tea over-brewed. Drinks way way way too sweet. Wish I didn't waste my money here.

Ordered a pizza from here while seated nearby at another establishment. I like how they deliver to other places in the same square. Food was great and I thought the wall of pennies was cool!

Pizza is my thing; I love trying new local pizza spots whenever we travel. And don't get me wrong, I rarely find a pizza I don't love - but it's rare to find one that truly blows me away. Lucky Penny was just that; an unassuming spot in the funk zone that I had no doubt would be good, but was floored that it might be one of the best pies I've ever had. We can't wait to return!Vegetarian options: In addition to many veggie-forward pizza options, the salads and roasted cauliflower are also delicious!Parking: Street Parking in the Funk Zone is difficult, but luckily the city parking structure near Hotel Californian is just around the corner.Kid-friendliness: Pizza. Who doesn't love pizza?!

We had heard this place was a good spot to get pizza and sit outside. The Funk Zone in general is awesome. And, this place does a great job with its outdoor space. The pizza was delicious as well. We waited at the window to be acknowledged for our order. It was unclear what was going on, but we waited patiently. Then, it was like pulling teeth to figure out drinks, order, etc. as the employees (all 3 of them) were very unresponsive, unfriendly, and unhelpful. I guess we were giving off the out-of-town vibe because they all seemed lovely and all smiles with each other and the locals ordering and eating lunch there. Still, the pizza and outdoor area are great if you want a casual lunch or dinner.

Beautiful patio seating with heaters for cold nights, food is so good! Had the ham/pineapple pizza and the meatballs. Both were delicious! Staff was super friendly. Love this spot.

Solid little joint for unique wood-fired pizza. My mom and I split a butternut squash and spicy coppa pizza. The garlic truffle cream sauce was a delight, and the hazelnut added enough crunch to keep things interesting against the soft sweetness of the butternut squash. The freshly shaved Parmesan was a really nice shakeup from the shaker cheese I'm used to. We both walked away full with no leftovers. It was nice to sit in the sun and enjoy the fenced in patio. Pretty much all of the seating is outdoors, and you need to go to the neighboring building for restrooms. Counter service, so staff will bring you your food and then leave you to do your thing.

Stopped in for the Frosé, but the seasonal frozen Lemon Drop was available. This was perfection! Refreshing and the flavor was so tasty, not too tart and not too sweet. Stop by to try one of these!

Lucky Penny has a variety of pizzas available for order. Between these, my friends and I ordered the OG and added anchovies. We also ordered a Confit Garlic Cheesy Bread. Seating is outdoors on a grassy area, and there is quite a bit of sun. The tables were clean, and the atmosphere was quite calm on a Sunday afternoon. The OG Pizza was delicious and tasty with fresh ingredients. The anchovies were unique, though I didn't enjoy they too much. The garlic cheesy bread was also tasty, though there wasn't as much garlic taste in the garlic bread. The pizza had quite a bit of dough on the crust, though not so much in the interior, making the pizza quite flimsy and unable to hold the weight the ingredients. The garlic bread was quite doughy and fluffy, though the interior felt fairly plain. While both were edible, the food felt fairly mid.

Last week I ordered the Margherita pizza to go. It was the most awful pizza I have ever had. It was burned, too bready, soggy in places with hardly any cheese. I do not recommend this restaurant.

Too spicy! I used to love this place, but we recently went and everything was way too spicy, If you liked everything spicy then it's great, but it's too much for me. Their pepperoni pizza is awfully spicy.

Ultimately underwhelming. Look, the atmosphere and location are prime, with great people serving us, but the food was not it. We ordered the Caesar Salad, Confit Garlic Cheesy Bread and the East Coast Pepperoni pizza. The salad was the best thing we ate, but too much dressing(recommend getting it on the side). The Cheesy bread was lame with little cheese, and also not melted! They served it with a marinara sauce that was so watery and bland it made the bread actually taste worse. The pizza came out burnt. Even if it wasn't burned, we decided it was still sub par with too much sauce, and not enough cheese and pepporoni. Ultimately lacking flavor. My advice? Order some Arnold Palmer's, sit in their beautiful patio and get Rusty's Cheesy Bread delivered to you there.

Delicious food and fun location but dress warm as all seating is outside! Definitely try a few different styles.
