Good burgers but expensive
The food was very tasty, hamburgers were juicy and flavorful, fries were crispy and the onion rings were huge. I appreciate being served.on actual dishes, beer in a glass, etc., instead of disposable dishes.
The server offered to bring us ranch dressing but never came back. Not a big deal, we didn't want it enough to go inside to get some. But we would have appreciated it.
I have been here several times, since we live an hour drive away from Santa Barbara and come down for the day every so often, always our food stop! Great burgers and The new smash burgers are excellent as per my wife and bro/sis in law! I had the Montecito Burger myself, sooooo good.! All burgers come with fries, Onion rings are great too. The menus and pics of menus have changed so it may look different if you go. Highly recommended!
So close to being great, yet fell short. Had a smash burger, fries, and chocolate milkshake. Fries were ten out of ten. Milkshake was good, rich, chocolatey, a little dense for my liking, no notes. The smash burger was in the classic style; basic, soft bun, American cheese, thin mandolined onions and aoli. It was so close to being phenomenal. The excellent crust on the patties was over shadowed by too many undercooked onions and a distinct lack of salt. The aoli was good and the bun was ever so slightly under toasted. I hope I came on an off day because what I got fell flat right before the finish line. I might come back, and if I do, it will be with hopes that I make this a regular stop every time I’m driving through.
Solid burger spot with good vegetarian options
Good fries, good Oreo milkshake, friendly staff and lots of seats
Patty melt was great, as were the fries.

I wish I could give 10 stars for the service; it was above and beyond! I didn't thoroughly check out the menu before I started to order and ended up making several changes. The young man taking my order was so kind and helpful. I had the Downtown burger on sourdough, oh my goodness so tasty! The sweet potato fries were the best I have ever had, it is nearly impossible to get them crispy without burning them, but they did it! These sweet potato fries alone are worth the trip!

Smashburger is a bit pricey at $15 but it tastes good, as long as you don't mind juicy... and maybe a little greasy. They have salads too!
Nothing fancy about the tables which are half inside and half outside. Maybe I might be out of touch but $35 for one burger, one fries, one salad, and one Coke seems high!

Ordered thru GH & the team at Mesa Burger were wonderfully attentive to my allergy; even going so far as to preemptively make substitutions. Smashburger & fries were great!
thank you!

Always love the burgers here, but will be ordering this amazing salad again in the future. Hearts a flutter salad with goat cheese and chicken. Excellent!

Was craving a veggie burger after a morning of exploring the town & after finding this place, it did not disappoint! There was some loud construction going on in the parking lot outside when we visited but the good vibes & food quickly overpowered any annoyance. Service is nice, helpful, & prompt. The cashier took the time to answer any questions for us and other customers and to make sure everyone enjoyed their meals. Thanks for a great experience!
Vegetarian options: Great veggie burger that can be any burger!

Seven of us walked in last night at 8:12pm, I know the time because I checked to see how close we were to 8:30 when they close, and sorry, but 8:30 is an odd time to close, just make it 9:00 like most other places. They looked like they were already packing up to close, but people were still sitting and eating. The woman behind the counter says, "if you're taking it to go fine, but no more dine-in." It wasn't 8:27, we had a full 18 minutes before 8:30, and that sort of semi-rude greeting was not appreciated. Seven of us, entrees and drinks probably would have been over $100 easy, not a bad way to end the night for them on a Wednesday. This place has been going downhill ever since Pixie left, I guarantee you had we walked in and she was there, we would have been served no problem. I work in commercial property, I manage many properties that have restaurants, and 9/10 of them will seat you up until it's the posted closing time. To be greeted the way we were last night was highly unappreciated, so we took our business elsewhere and had a great dinner, our server got a great tip too. I get it this was the first restaurant, and now the owner has multiple Mesa Burgers, coffee shops, etc., so of course this one gets neglected, I've seen it happen a million times. We might go back here because we like the food (sometimes), but we'll think twice and that employee's rude reception will be remembered.
