We have enjoyed olio pizzeria. So we thought we would try the restaurant. Maybe it was an off night? Our pastas were undercooked, extremely salty and not very strong on flavor. The seafood pasta had a very strong smell. One dinner was reimbursed and we were given a free dessert but I would not go back and eat there after that experience.
Overall good. We didn't love our table location, which was near an oddly placed bathroom door.
We always enjoy a meal at Olio. And it's best when we have the most magnificent server in town, Johnny. We will be back again and again.
Olio is always busy when there's a concert in town but they always manage to provide a rewarding dining experience. One flaw in service that would greatly help the servers, too, is have a host or hostess posted during the crush times. The servers step up when they can but mostly people are left standing by the door, painfully aware no one is coming to acknowledge them nor seat them. Otherwise the food, service & ambience are well above average.
This may be the best Italian food in Santa Barbara! Excellent, friendly service. A wonderful experience; we will be back! Craig
Lovely Mediterranean menu for lunch. We started with a delicious potato leek salad, the we had great main courses. Terrific wine. All in all, lovely lunch in quiet relaxing setting with good service.
Wonderful, delicious food and excellent service. Quiet ambiance and easy to have conversations. I happily bring friends here and they are always impressed with everything about the restaurant. All my Italian friends love this restaurant the most!
We love all 3 of restaurants!!! They all have a different vibe...but amazing food. Wonderful Italian food...family favorite!
The food is always good! I usually order the fish and I'm always very happy that it taste really fresh cooked perfectly and never salty, which I cannot stand when restaurants put too much salt on food to add flavor when in fact, it just destroys food from tasting fresh. Also, the soups are really good and I like that there's not heavy cream and again are really pure in their flavor.
Olio never disappoints. Pasta is delicious. Dessert is outstanding and service is welcoming and attentive. Always visit whenever we are in Santa Barbara!

Olio E Limone consistently delivers delicious, fresh Italian food just like my Nona would make...but better! I love all the pastas especially the Pumpkin Raviolis! The service is superb! Our waiter, Pino, and table runner Juan are fantastic! A great dressing makes a salad and the pear gorgonzola salad and string bean salad with heirloom tomatoes and red onion is simple and flavorful! Save room for dessert because the pear dessert with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce is so yummy!
Food was exquisite, service as well. We were a tight schedule that was gracefully accommodated.
Pleased that the menu offers more options than most Italian restaurants in town, and all we ordered were delicious.
We were there ignored from 6:20- 6:40. Finally got our order barely in time for 7:30 show. We were told it was because we came in late! Tables around us who came in same time were served quickly. Will never go back.
It felt like there wasn't a manager on duty. This was a slow night and the service was still bad.
