A fantastic cappuccino and Morning Bun on a nice patio in beautiful Santa Barbara. What's not to love?
Outstanding Services got to try .
Very good coffee and ham and cheese Cresent.
Got myself a wonderful Americano and croissant sandwich here for breakfast.
Myself and the entire family loved our breakfast!
They had a $0.50 surcharge per egg, which is more than the price of eggs has increased here, so that felt excessive. They also got the order wrong, and didn't offer a compensation/discount (did offer to remake, but I didn't want to throw away an entire dish and make my company wait for a redo)
I ordered the quiche with salad. The lettuce in this salad was old and unwashed, I wanted to change it for potatoes and the lady at the register refused to do it, saying there were no more potatoes which was a lie since another person did the same thing and got potatoes so the other people that ordered potatos. I found her attitude impolite and rude.
Wonderful choices for croissant sandwich fun! Fine drip coffees.
Unfortunately, on this visit, they missed one of four coffees to prepare, took a long time to deliver it, no apology, no “coffee art” on that one (too much time for the rushed replacement? Used a machine for this one vs other ones?) served in the wrong sized cup. The espresso used for all the non-drip coffees tasted burned as well. (That’s a wide problem with coffee shops, including Starbucks.)
Unfortunate - will try them again - but service and fixing errors well makes a difference.

I get it, it’s busy. I do not mean to come off as a Karen but it should not take 30 minutes for them to heat a premade croissant. The chocolate croissant was good but the hot chocolate was made with water (disgrace) and tasted fermented? I loved Renauds and this is my first time at this location, but it truly let me down. I feel icky leaving Renauds today. Not to mention, I had to clean my own table as none of the tables were getting cleaned.
When I go to a Patisserie, I expect artisanal confections, fresh coffee and excillent service. Renaud's is a Patisserie only in name, it's essence is that of a Santa Barbara Mcdonalds.
I wish the almond croissant I ordered was as full of marzipan as our hostess was in attitude. There was NO espresso machine, it was a push button coffee maker. It felt cheap and my potatoes came out cold. The fan in the bathroom was broken...will not go back.

Quaint and deliscious!
Lovely, seats both inside and outside. Good food, consistent. Great pastries, have been to all three branches and they are wonderful. The OJ is always fresh.

Breakfast at this cafe is pure magic! I never expected to start my morning in Santa Barbara with such incredible flavors. The dishes melted in my mouth; the ingredients were fresh and perfectly chosen. The presentation was captivating—it’s clear they know how to pay attention to detail. This place has definitely become my favorite breakfast spot, one I want to return to again and again.
