Monica, the manager, literally saved my husband’s life tonight! He was choking, and she ran out and used a device that unlodged the food out of his throat. I can’t express how grateful I am for her service.

Good chicken tacos

I ordered to eat there. The food was barely warm. It tasted ok but nothing great. I was the only one in there and it took forever for them to take my order. The person at the front counter had no people skills or manners. Not a good experience!

There’s only one taco you need in your life and that’s the Rudy’s Beef Taco. Soooooo good!

They were still opened and they did not want to serve me

Ordered a bean, cheese, and steak burrito to go. Got home and they gave me a chicken, veggie, rice burrito. Unfortunately they had a mix up, didn’t want to drive back so I ate it anyway. Not what I wanted but the burrito was still good.

Food is okay, proportions are enormous, the red salsa is quite yummy. But, the real reason to come here is the service!! The staff are kind, fast, helpful and attentive. It's a fast food place, but the staff bring your meal, utensils napkins to your table for you. They watch for people coming to get to-go orders and bring the orders out to them. It's a breadth of fresh air.

I ordered from Rudy’s for a family meal
Food was pretty good I will say. The protein portions are huge! They load it up with protein, but other than that it gave me little to get excited about.
To start they forgot half of the order
Even when it was paid for, and the only compensation provided was a bag of chips.
Classic “gringo” Mexican restaurant if you will.
Unfortunate experience.
Better luck next time.

I grabbed the potato taquitos. They were good and had a nice seasoning. The salsa bar was great, several options of salsa Roja and verde. Nice customer service too.

Will not let customers use the bathroom. Will not be back.

The past few times I have eaten at Rudy's, the food was not hot ! I picked up a combo plate, the enchilada was cold, and the cheese was unmelted. Also , the taco in the box was unwrapped on the rice and beans, and the taco was a mess just fell apart . Wrap the taco and leave it out of the box.
Even the 3 min drive with a hard shell taco out of the box can be pushing it . Wrap the Taco ?‍♂️

Hey, just know what you want before you go in. My wife wants tacos, and she gets tacos.
One thing, though, is to just get one Taco per person unless you are starving.
Sheesh, one Taco filled me up, and I'm a big boy.

Cheers to the best American-ized taco on the planet! Granted, I am biased, but this large taco is one of a kind. I have been coming to Rudy's locations in Carpinteria and Santa Barbara for years, and it always delivers.
