There are much better places to eat a few steps down at the light. Skip this garbage for Jeannine's on the corner of State and

So it's a pretty touristy experience. Brunch in the sun under an umbrella just off the beach? Check. Great food with little appetizer bonus? Check. (Blueberry muffin basket) People jogging by and a blonde waitress named Brooke with slight vocal fry? Check. But after driving up from LA all morning, that was what we wanted. In all seriousness, it was a great experience with unobtrusive gluten-free options. Will stop here again next time we are traveling through. Ymmv for locals, but the parking lot is almost empty and it's full, so people are walking here.Dietary restrictions: Had plenty of gluten-free options but didn't make a big deal on that.Parking: Street parking was bad but there was a little lot next time it.

We needed a place for some lunch. We both ordered the 1/2 lb burger done medium with hash browns. Half an hour later two burgers were brought too our table. Both terribly overcooked and dry and both cold. The hash browns were just as cold,

Always one of my favorite go-to breakfast spots, especially when I'm looking for a hearty breakfast. The staff is always friendly, Chad himself is often around to greet his many regulars and new faces, and the food is more than satisfying! This morning I stopped in for a breakfast date with myself on a beautiful sunny Santa Barbara Sunday morning, and took a seat as a single at the bar in the back of the restaurant. The server staff were very tentative, and my barista was amazing! Thanks, Chad's, for never disappointing! Now headed for a beach walk to complete my satisfied body!

Food whatsoever had no flavor. Service was awful. my hash browns arrived about so burnt they were black. My muffins were hard and when we had ask for a replacement our waiter said he will bring fresh ones as ours were clearly old and overcooked. We never got ours. Communication is just awful here and really the food isn’t all that.

Coffee cups shouldn't run dry. Never. Don't care how busy you are. You have hostesses and bussers that can fill in for the waitresses. Toast should not come out limp. It's why they call it toast. Trying to spread jelly on limp toast is like trying to have sex with a limp weenie. Just not good. Breakfast was mediocre at best. Don't understand the long lines. I miss those days when you'd go to a restaurant and there's older people working to serve you. They were attentive and professional. Not anymore.

Great service and food in generous portions. I went early enough to get a table straight away but there was a long queue outside when I left - doing something right.

I feel compelled to write a review for this place because I had the best lunch here yesterday. I didn't have to wait, they seated me right away. Service was excellent. First of all, they bring you a little basket of freshly baked mini muffins, and it was the best muffins I've ever had in my life ok. I ordered the club sandwich with no cheese. It was $17 on the menu, which I thought was kind of pricey for a sandwich, but let me tell you; I ate this sandwich for lunch, dinner, and lunch the next day. This $17 plate was three normal servings or two really generous servings. You can definitely share a plate here. Also, I really appreciated the music they had playing inside the restaurant. It had to have been like Mac Miller radio or something. There was something healing about chilling in this little diner booth watching the beach and the people to Frank Ocean's Self Control. All of the restaurant staff were nice and friendly. Dining area and restrooms were clean. 10/10 highly recommend this restaurant

Breakfast at Chad's was great. Came on a Friday morning and there was no line to get in, though throughout the weekend it seemed to get very very busy. Loved their little blueberry muffin things that they give out for free before the meal. A unique little snack that tasted just like a Nilla wafer. Could have eaten like 20 of these alone. The breakfast burrito was yummy. The extra $7 to add bacon probably wasn't worth it because it was not a lot of meat and $7 for some bacon is crazy. Also ordered the small stack of pancakes which were SO good and left me wanting more all weekend.

Great breakfast/brunch/lunch spot with beach view. Friendly & fast service too! We sat on the patio (dog friendly), and server greeted us right away and then brought our drinks and warm mini muffins with butter. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals: classic eggs benedict & corned beef benedict. All well prepared. Great experience!

We ate outside and it was beautiful. I got the chicken fried steak and my son got the mega stack pancakes. The pancakes were beautiful but tasted "off". Wouldn't get them pancake fan. Never got refills on our waters or my coffee. Mini muffins that were given to us when we sat down were chewy and hard.

Perfect place for a quick, healthy breakfast. Dog friendly, AMAZING service. Really nice menu-had a fruit bowl that was absolutely perfect. The kind of food you'd make at home IF you were a chef AND had the time/motivation.

Do Not be thrown off by the long line! This place has a system in place and everyone works WELL together, so it flows seamlessly. The line was long but we were seated within 10-12 minutes. I will say if you have a larger party be prepared to wait a little longer. The food was good. So they start you with these amazing little muffins and butter. I'm not a huge muffin person but these you have to try! I had the pops special with French toast, scrambled eggs and bacon. Then ordered a side of home potatoes. French toast was sooo good and the bacon was nice thick sliced, not the flimsy fatty bacon a lot of places serve. Eggs were simple and good. And potatoes were also really good! Simply seasoned but great flavor no hot sauce or ketchup necessary. The ambiance was great for brunch, lunch, or breakfast. You are right on the water front, They have outdoor seating with umbrella protection from sun. So we were able to enjoy the water view and nice breeze while we ate. Special shout out to Sophia hostess, CJ our waiter (pleasant with great recommendations), and I didn't get the busboy name. But I loved how they al worked well together and kept things flowing nicely. I highly recommend Chad's and will definitely be back!
