We made a spontaneous dinner reservation at Secret Bao and it was one of our favorite meals of our trip! The Baos were generous and super tasty. Order the KFC and Pork Belly. You will want everything on the menu but we ordered the Carbonara with furikake and pancetta pork bits. It was SO good! Our server was super friendly. We will go back!
Our waitress, Kathleen, was wonderful. The food was good. We had their Hamachi wonton tacos and scallop starters. Those were excellent. We then had the mushroom tacos which were spicy and yet bland. The tangerine cocktail and South African white wine were also excellent. The reason for the three out of five stars is because my guest found a hair at the bottom of one of the Hamachi Wonton tacos. When she informed the waitress, the waitress did not ask if the dish could be replaced...
The hamachi tacos were delicious as was the pork bao and curried noodles. Our server Katherine was lovely as well and couldn't have been more helpful with suggestions et al. We will most definitely go back. The desserts at the table next to us looked awesome as well.
