This is the best sushi restaurant I’ve ever been to and I crave the sushi all day this place truly serves the best sushi with fresh ingredients and adding on to the delicious food the atmosphere and general building is beautiful I definitely recommend this place!

Other than the buss boy who made sure we had plenty of water the waiter was slow and intermittent. Was not really able to answer questions about the food. Plus I get the fact I'm going to a Japanese restaurant that shouldn't mean I need to speak Japanese.Parking: Like most everywhere in the city of Santa Barbara there is not enough parking. No matter how much the city planers desire people to abandon their cars it won't happen

This is a brilliant neighborhood sushi restaurant! The fresh scallop with yuzu was spectacular. Exceptionally fresh fish, unpretentious but excellent service... just an exceptional dining experience!

Absolutely great restaurant. We called at the busiest time (Christmas day), when all other places around had a 1.5 hr wait time. They reserved a table for us that same minute, and when we walked in the door 2 minutes later, we were greeted and seated. The quality of food was outstanding, and the service was incredibly fast! Unprecedented experience, great prices, and top notch sushi, at that!

Our go-to sushi spot in Santa Barbara. The vegetarian options are really good. Also love the spicy tuna crispy rice as well as the scallop nigiri. Recommend this place to everyone who likes sushi.Vegetarian options: The spicy asparagus tempura roll and the avocado roll are delish.

The group I was with billed me $45 dollars I never got a menu or ordered anything and didn't even get a glass of water. My girlfriend handed me 2 pieces of sushi didn't know what it was that's all I ate never greeted me or made eye contact.

I don't ever leave one star reviews -- especially as someone who has worked in the service industry for over a decade. However, the hostess was so rude when she said she called our names from the waitlist when I never received a call that I felt like the restaurant deserved to know. When I asked her what we should do she said to rejoin the waitlist from the bottom, despite never showing proof that she called our cellphone numbers. I wish I could have experienced the food but I don't think we'll be coming back.

This is a sushi lover public service announcement: if you're looking for THE BEST SUSHI IN SANTA BARBARA, the hidden gem the local foodies go to, this is your place. At Sun Sushi you will find fresh fish flown from Japan and the best local fish, the quality is beyond anything else offered in town. As a regular at Arrigato and always disappointed by the uneven quality, the overpriced, tiny rolls, I am now in sushi Heaven having been initiated to this gem of a restaurant by a chef friend. The saying that the best food is at the simplest restaurants holds true here. This is a come as you are place, but you will not leave the same as you came. Your taste buds will have enjoyed an explosion of flavors, and you will have been completely enraptured with the freshness of the fish that just melts in your mouth. Even the rice in our rolls, was the freshest, moistest, I have ever enjoyed. I highly recommend the box sushi,red dragon, yellowtail delight, & State Street rolls. And their local uni was amazing. I am now a regular here, and am already craving my next fix. Oh, and I forgot to mention their prices will let me indulge on a regular.
