The staff and the atmosphere are amazing! The drinks are tasty and really fun. The lighting is moody and cute and the tiki bar vibes are off the charts! Best part is it's really clean. Definitely a place to check out with family and friends.

Great tiki bar where you can bring in your own food - gets slightly rowdier late
Place sucks with over priced drinks for what you get
Introducing Cap'n Mal. We met last night. He's the signature drink at Test Pilot. We had quite a conversation with our Bartender about his name and she agreed that he would be identified from hence forth by the name Cap'n Mal. I wanted to call him "Malgam" as a short form of Amalgamation. My girlfriend wanted to call him "Cap" because he is the Test Pilot. So we combined them!

I had a Cosmopolitan, very good. The boy is really good and fast.
Test Pilot in Santa Barbara is one of our favorite tiki bars! The ambiance is absolutely adorable, with a fun and relaxing vibe that’s perfect for unwinding. The outdoor seating is super nice, especially for groups—our group of 6 had a fantastic time just relaxing and enjoying the atmosphere.
The drinks are amazing, especially the Painkiller with the rum float—definitely a must-try! We also loved the spicy margarita; the Level 4 was perfect! The music adds to the chill vibe, making it an ideal spot to kick back with friends. Highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy great tiki drinks in a cozy setting!

I hate being that person to write a negative review, but I have never been treated so horribly at an establishment in my entire life. The bartenders were super rude. I tried calling and left a voicemail but no one has returned my call. I will not be coming back and I will urge others to go to the many other BETTER places in Santa Barbara. Drinks were also gross.

Great drinks, pretentious bartenders to try to judge me for a mild conversation with my girlfriend. That’s what you get for hiring 21 year-old bartenders.

The poor bartender! Way over his head and in no part because of his skills. He took way too many orders before making them and the service quality suffered heavily for it. I waited at least 5 minutes for an order, which is not too egregious but he then when and chatted with his friends to get their order for more then the amount of time it would’ve took to make the drinks - they did not know what they wanted and he took his time helping them. He made 8 drinks at once but struggled to control the conditions of any of them. The two my friend and I ordered were serviceable but enjoying them was hard as it took 15 minutes to receive. Nice guy, obviously talented but the points of service were so far off…
Whoever runs this bar needs to make it clear that if a party is greater than 3, they should have their drinks made before the next order. Never seen another bar that works this way. It hurt my confidence in the drink, my generosity, and I left after one round. You have talented staff and a great ambience. Get it together and teach them how to bartend like professionals. You might think you’re maximizing their time but you’re minimizing your patronage and hurting the pool.

BIPOC Review: The Oaxacan Dead Drink was alright , I think their "secret stuff" is just mint, but go off
This place got more hype than what I thought it would be. Still a solid place to have a drink. Oaxaca dead was the drink for me.
