If you’re visiting UCSB for business, this is a solid choice given Santa Barbara prices. The beds are comfortable, the room is cozy, and I especially appreciated the nice, comfy chair perfect for some me-time with a view of the water and flowers. While it’s not a luxury hotel, it offers everything you need for a relaxing and productive stay. The location is unbeatable, right on campus and close to everything.
Stayed here for a lovely fraternity parents weekend. Close to IV so we could walk and meet up with our son and his friends. We parked in the garage, then wheeled our bags over to The Club. Felt like we were oldest kids on campus! Great time.
Hope to change opinion in the next few days, but for the moment, I am very disappointed! Paying such a high rate, I was expecting rooms being bit better than this. Hotels around here, with pool and other service, cost less! I choose it because of the location on the campus (visiting my daughter), but would not do it again. Room is at a ground floor, nice location, very close to the lagoon and to the ocean, but passersby can see inside the room, unless you close down the blind...
