This is a great place. It was suggested by a friend of a friend and we all decided to go here on a whim.And it turned out pretty good. I can't really say about the wine since I am Vegan and wine doesn't really suit my system.My friends loved the wine they chose to order. From my point of view, wine smelled really good. If that counts for reviewing the wine without really tasting it.

Great place to come for a glass of wine and some amazing vegan food. Rascals vegan food is always amazing and I'm glad they are now in Venus IF. Even if you aren't vegan I'm sure you will love this Mexican food.

The bartender graciously poured me a couple of tastes before I decided on my wine . The Albariño was my reluctant choice (I had to order SOMEthing) but it was weak at best. Then I saw the price on the bill of $15 and I was shocked! A very small glass as well! Ridiculous.

This place has such and awesome vibe/ambiance! I went during the day and at night. I didn't notice much during the daytime but at night, this place is an amazing place to hang out, talk with friends, meet up, or just get a great drink! I can't get enough of their black leather cocktail and while it's much like the Manhattan, it's a tad sweeter with just enough kick to keep your voice deep and low. For those sex gender antagonists, this drink will not make you "less of a man" or " more of a man". It's now my new favorite drink kicking old fashions, Moscow mules, and traditional Manhattan's done on my favorite drink list. If you don't like cocktail's that's OK. This place is mostly known for their wine as they have a large selection! Don't be fooled by this post as this isn't just a "bar" they have amazing vegan food from Rascal's that rivals that of LA and SF.

What is there to say besides WOW! Rising from the ashes and taking a chance by opening in the thick of COVID, Venus in Furs is an incredible addition and unexpected surprise. If a tasting room for natural wines ONLY had a baby with a super sexy NYC cocktail lounge, it would be Venus in Furs. Not only is it absolutely stunning on the inside, with one of the most breathtaking bar facades in town - the menu offers unique natural wines but best of all, cocktails with wine. Truth be told, I wasn't expecting much from a wine cocktail but with descriptions that actually made me laugh out loud (shout out to the 'lingering notes of summer '08), I had to try at least one. I went with The Gentle Whip and it shot to the top of my ultimate favorite cocktails list FAST. Not only is it delicious - it is fresh and vibrant with notes of vanilla that will make you beg for more. If you're still reading this just stop what you're doing and GO already!

Great wine bar with really interesting wine cocktails. The service, ambiance, and decor are all fantastic. While you're there, order from Barb's Pies (HUGE pizzas) and enjoy at the bar!

We happened upon this wine bar on our last night in SB. Wanting to venture out of the funk zone we headed up State street which was very lively. However, traveling with another couple we had 2 toddlers in tow and were looking for somewhere we could enjoy a nice bottle of wine and some snacks with a little more quiet atmosphere. So glad we found this place and their outdoor sidewalk was the perfect location for enough room to stretch out (e.g. have the kids be kids without ruining other patrons evening) while allowing the parents to enjoy. The vibe felt very much like many of the Paris wine bars focusing on biodynamic wines we visited on our trip 3 years ago. The bartenders were very accommodating and helped us setup, gave great wine recommendations and it was one of the best experiences of our trip. We ended up picking up 2 bottles to go. I hope they get to keep the patio! We also ordered some bites from Rascal's and it was surprisingly delicious for Vegan food. We will be back when in town.
