Been coming here for years, Used to be the home cooked meal to go for dinner. Now its the worst. Food was burt to the crisp, Service terrible, when I asked for a refund the cooks laughed and insisted i was wrong (customer) . Burgers are dry, sausages were stiffer than your average beef jerky. Took My family here for a great meal and instead I end up paying over 100 just to leave disappointmented and extremely hangry- Hope This helps, it's sad how this place turned out -2024

As a true American that grew up in Kansas City, I was appalled to see this place at a 4.3. It is more like a 2.5 - 2.8. I only gave it 1 star to lower the overall ratings. But don’t be going to this place thinking your getting 4.3 level

Ordered ribs and some brisket. Ribs were fall off the bone, brisket was pretty fatty but otherwise tasty. I also tried the corn salad, which was a nice complement to the meats - cool and with a little acid to break up the rich and savory BBQ. The corn bread muffin was also delicious.

The first order of ribs we got were so dried it was like chewing rubber. When I brought it to the attention of the staff they replaced them with no hesitation. The ones they replaced them with are exactly how smoked ribs should be big beefy and juicy. There's not much atmosphere to an armadillo Willy's it's really basic and the booths are really hard and uncomfortable. This is my third time at this Armadillo Willy's location and the staff is always very accommodating.
My wife likes the small plate with the tri-tip steak. I had a burger and it was good too. Prices are very reasonable.

Where to begin, I ordered the brisket that came with 2 sides for $17.99. I thought it was going to be a sandwich because it was under bbq sandwich. The sides I chose were the beans and tator tots. The brisket was dry, which was the expectations because at a restaurant you wont get that juicy perfection unless you do it at home and serve it fresh but I was hopeful to have my bias mind changed. So brisket was 5/10 that includes the overal flavor. The beans still had an al dente bite, overall flavor 2/10. Now the other entree order was the mushroom swiss burger, meat, flavor, and texture 6/10. Nothing special about it just a typical mushroom swiss burger. The side of choice was potato salad which I would be shocked if they claim its made in house as it tasted very store bought and the worse of worse potatoe salads I've had from a store so 0/10. Then we tried their brownie..... 6/10 nothing mind blowing there either. Definitely wasn't worth the cost. And to compare famous daves which i reviewed as well and vs smoking pig... smoking pig comes in first then famous daves then this spot.

It took a long while for us to meander back to this location, but today we did, and I'm happy to note I saw quite a few improvements from last time we were here! Most importantly the ribs were soft and delicious! We always get a full rack, and it was great today. The sides were also spot on, I was surprised that I really enjoyed the peanut slaw this time. I seem to remember it not having much sauciness, but today it was great. The only thing I kind of did not like was the potato salad, it tasted like it was something bought pre-made like it was not homemade by the restaurant. Like those tubs of potato salad from Costco. I'd never get that again. But the cornbread muffin was great as were the pinto beans.Glad to see improvement so I'm bumping them up 1 star!
