After shopping for three hours here in the Westfield Valley Fair mall and it was such a joy seeing my favorite mango dessert chain as well :)
I normally love this place but the employees were hella rude this time.
Love this dessert place. Way better than their Milpitas one. Very bright and clean place. More inviting. Service is always prompt and the staff are always friendly.
Highly recommend the mango and coconut sago
Much lower quality than the cupertino location
Hui Lau Shan is all over the Bay Area now. However, the Hui Lau Shan inside Westfield Valley Fair Shopping Center is one of the busiest, especially on the weekends. The good thing is that they can maintain the quality of the drinks even when they're super busy, and the employees are still very friendly. I enjoyed my drinks in the shared seating area in the food court.
Food is okay but service is very minimal.
Nothing special, I don’t understand the hype at all

I wanted to like this dessert chain, but when I tried their popular Mango & Coconut Juice with Sago I detected an unpleasant aftertaste that reminded me of aspartame or a sugar alcohol. This is very disappointing because, while the drinks here are delicious, educated consumers don't want unhealthy, cancer-causing ingredients in their food. Please take note of how other popular Asian dessert chains, such as Tong Sui, are preparing their drinks and desserts--with all-natural and even organic ingredients! Sweetness should only come from real sugar, sugarcane, honey, agave, or another natural, non-synthetic source. Please make your recipes healthier without cancer-causing ingredients!
Their new lids are terrible! I try puncturing the straw hole but the way it is sealed makes it difficult without crumpling the lid itself.
Their old lids were much better. I can't believe they cheapened out and use this new crappy one. I had to literally pry open the straw hole with my fingernails. Disappointing.

Im a sucker for Asian desserts, especially mango and glutinous rice. The dessert was good, the mangoes tasted fresh, the rice was chewy and not soggy
Overall great place, I'd love to go back and try more desserts! They have a lot of options

Asian guy who was the cashier is extremely rude. I love the drinks here but I hesitate coming/ordering at this location just because every time I have ordered the guy has been so ill mannered. Last time he was just the worst. When it was time to pay he pointed at the tablet as if I was too slow when paying. Just horrible and seeing how many people have encountered this same horrible experience I don’t even know why this guy still works here. Get rid of him.

I would have given a negative star if I could. The guy who makes drinks is the most ill mannered guy I have ever met. The lady at counter is also very unwelcoming. Showing unnecessary attitude and spoiling others day. Together they are the worst people to order from, drinks are average .
Never going again.
firstly, all their desserts are amazing. very traditional and authentic hk style. 6.20.24, my mom and i wanted a drink so we headed there. turns out we had to wait because the shop was out of fresh mangoes. usually i would be fine with this but there was one person working! even with the long line there was one man cutting and prepping all the mangoes and i felt so bad. customer service is great but the employee to customer ratio should be more..
