i love Hungry Hound. I live nearby and i always enjoy their cheeseburger with fries on the side. the lady who is the owner is nice. she is very polite and always gives good service.

This is not about the food. This is about owners’ foolishness. Be aware they might close their shop anytime during the day.Once I went there Saturday at 2:30p and although they had to be open till 4, they said we close at 2 and didn’t let us in. I got more pissed off when I went back there on Tuesday at 3 and they had put a note on the door that they will return at 5. This is ridiculously awful way of business.I suggest you call them every time before you get there.

I looked for about a year for a go-to lunch place for sandwiches in Santa Clara, until I found Hungry Hound. Hungry Hound is an unpretentious simple restaurant with good solid sandwiches at a lower price than the alternatives.The turkey avocado is great and there's plenty of items on the menu to keep coming back to try. There's nothing very fancy about the place, but it solidly delivers for a satisfying lunch and the woman who works the counter everyday is nice.

I’ve been coming here since 2005 for the grilled chicken sandwich - it’s probably the tastiest chicken sandwich around and it’s been made consistently well all these years. The chicken is always well-marinated, well-seasoned, grilled to a golden sear on a soft baguette - the mayonnaise and pickles here are also really delicious. The grilled cheese is very tasty too, and if you like thick milkshakes, you’ll love Hungry Hound.

??This is such a fun place to eat at. I had a really nice time with my friends. The people who run the restaurant are really sweet and the value is good you get a lot of food. Honestly, the food is just ok.Nothing we had was cooked particularly well.The restaurant is a bit rundown and didn’t have air conditioning either.But you go to a restaurant for more than just the quality of the meal.What can I say- We were hungry hounds.

I got the bacon cheeseburger with fries. The food didn't come out super quick, but the wait wasn't too bad, definitely under ten minutes. The fries are medium thick cut, and they were cooked perfectly. There are two sizes of fries, and I got the smaller one; I could only eat about half of them before getting too full. The burger looked just like I like my burgers, but the beef flavor wasn't coming through at all. I got a lot of bacon and American cheese taste. The burger was well cooked, I just couldn't taste it. I will probably come back and try a different sandwich next time.
