The restaurant is a rip-off. I rarely leave restaurant reviews, but this appears to be one of the bad ones. We explained that this was our first time ordering from this restaurant and that we were not sure how to proceed. They were impatient and did not explain everything to us, so we felt rushed to place our order. We opted for the wood-fired barbecue with grilled meat, but you must order at least two items. We ordered the firewood prime beef short ribs ($69.99) and the barbecue pork ($47.99). You'd expect a lot of meat for that price. We only got two thin slices of beef short ribs and two slices of seasoned barbecue pork. When I mentioned it to the server, he said it was just the way things were. If we want more meat, we can order it and pay more. For $118, all we get is four thin slices of meat, ridiculous! This is not even enough for two people. They should include it on the menu, with only two thin slices per order, so customers can see what they ordered. Aside from that, the side dish they served was quite small and not much at all. The onion and tofu salads were the only ones that were good portions. We know eating out is more expensive now, but $118 for four thin slices of meat is simply not worth it. When you want to support a small family business but get ripped off. It’s better to simply go to AYCE Korean BBQ and get your money's worth. This restaurant isn't worth your money.

I used to come to this place bi weekly. Suddenly on a non-busy Saturday for lunch, it took the staff ten minutes to seat me when there’s only 3 tables dining and 3 staff members. The ma and pa that used to work here usually sat me fast. Then the masked male employee took awhile to take our order. We rang the bell twice and after 10 minutes he finally arrived but he interrupted my first order to say “one minute” and rushed back to kitchen to bring out meats for another table and helped the cook it. I waited another 5-10minutes and left since he never came back.

Great place for authentic Korean BBQ. The service is efficient and polite. And they use wood instead of gas. Highly recommend!

I get the galbitang every time I come here and it’s delicious every time. I come at least every other week to eat it.

It says online that they close at 12pm, but when we arrived at 11pm they told us they were closed. This is misleading.

It was a chill Tuesday afternoon and my partner and I were looking for a nice simple lunch. I was originally feeling some kbbq but just wanted to order one meat and eat it with banchan, however this place had a minimum of 2 meats per table for bbq. Because of this, we had to pivot and look at their lunch menu instead. We ordered the lunch special LA Galbi and Mul Naengmyeon as well as the Seafood and Beef Soft Tofu Stew. The Galbi was great, the noodles were refreshing and really thin, and the tofu stew was rich and warming. Though, these items were not the highlight of the meal. The banchan and the service were the absolute best. They had one dish that was essentially a version of macaroni salad, but it wasn’t macaroni. I have no idea what it is, but that was the best version of macaroni salad I’ve had. They also had this super delicious seaweed and radish banchan. It was like umami encapsulated in one bite. I even asked for the name of the dish, but now trying to search it up I feel completely lost. Beyond the banchan, the service was also great as we were the last people in the restaurant. They were just chilling waiting for us but as the server saw us get low on banchan she would immediately refill it for us. One day I must go back to try the bbq cooked on the wood coals, but for now what we had was perfect.

Update: tried the bbq and it was fire. We got the wagyu ribeye which is huge as well as the Kalbi which were both really good quality and cooked perfectly. However also learned that their banchan rotates regularly depending on what ingredients are available.

One of my favorite KBBQ spots in the Bay Area since they have the charcoal grill. We got the bulgogi and kalbi (both were delicious). The minimum order is 2 meats for the BBQ, so it can get pricey since the cost is about $70 each. The parking lot can get crowded during dinner time, so be prepared to wait or park across the street in the residential area.

Tired Wagyu and Samgyulsal (pork belly) the wood fire grill. It was so good. The server grilled for us everything and he grilled it so skillfully and perfectly. Kimchi Jigae was good as well. Recommending for bbq experience.

Extremely disappointing experience. I joined the waitlist as instructed, but my friend and I waited in the car since it was very cold, checking back every few minutes. When I returned, our name had been crossed out, and the staff rudely told me we “should have waited outside”—something no one ever explained. After 20 minutes of waiting hungry and cold, being blamed for their poor communication felt completely unfair. I would not recommend this place unless they improve basic courtesy and clear instructions.

Really good food. Skip the 삼겹살 (pork belly, wasn't good), 물냉면 (cold noodles in broth, bland) and 오징어 볶음 (stir fried octopus in gochuang sauce, too sweet).

Their L.A. galbi/kalbi (beef short ribs), pan fried fish, and 해물 냉면 (raw fish in buckwheat noodles marinated in spicy gochujang sauce) are very good.

Very good Korean bbq and comes very close to the good places in Seoul. However, the prices are outrageous. 65 usd for beef ribs which should feed 1 person is too much. Also got the spicy pork. Price and portion was better than the beef, but +40 usd for this portion was still a lot.

One slice of beef short ribs is $65🙂‍↔️ I find it ridiculous even in Bay Area . Expensive is just one thing but food is no good too🥲

The place was very busy, but our server was upbeat, helpful and altogether wonderful. The meats were great (huge prime rib was a good value) and the side condiments and soups were great. I highly recommend.

Dietary restrictions: If gluten free, get the un-sauced meats in BBQ and avoid soups. But there will be plenty other food/meat to enjoy.
