Best eaten fresh. Our absolute favorite! We feel so lucky to live in the Bay Area where foods we like are not only so delicious and authentic but also available to us. Thank you!

Great service and the dduk is so soft and fresh. The price is very reasonable and less than another dduk place in the area. I highly recommend ordering for parties or special events.

We ordered rice cakes for my son's baek-il party, and the lady working there was so kind. She was super nice and just seemed so happy to work with us. We ordered what my dad recommended, and it was a fan favorite at the party. We thought we'd have more left over, but they were basically all gone by the end of the party! Thank you, Kung Sil Rice Bakery, for helping complete my son's baek-il party.

Kungsil rice bakery distributes rice cakes to Korean markets like Hankook and Koreana Plaza. A wide variety of rice cakes are sold, including songpyeon, kkul-tteok, baram-tteok, jeolpyeon, injeolmi, chapssal-tteok, mujigae-tteok, yeongyang-chaltteok, yaksik, and various kinds of siru-tteok. When they are shipped to Korean grocery stores, they generally arrive in the morning, but not the hour the store opens. It is best to purchase them when they are fresh, not when they are a day old. When they are eaten fresh, Kungsil's rice cakes are very good. I especially like their yaksik and kkul-tteok.

Delicious and always fresh Korean rice cakes. My family and I have been buying Kungsil’s dduk for over 25 years. We go directly to them for specialized dduk for birthdays, 100 day celebration, or choo suk. You can also find fresh, same-day-delivered dduk at any Korean market in the area.

I walked in and they said they were wholesale only ?

The rice cakes are always fresh, whether you get them directory from Kungsil or from Korean Markets. I really love the authenticity as compared to the rice cakes you can have in Korea. I've ordered from them for my child's 100 day, 1st bday, and have been to countless other parties with Kungsil's rice cakes. My personal favorite is the rainbow rice cake. The one

This is the one and only bakery to get traditional Korean rice cakes. It's a small storefront, but they offer a wide variety of products. Most of their business is wholesale direct to the larger Korean grocery stores. If you have any questions about what rice cakes to order, the store manager is extremely helpful in educating you on the history behind each product and what would be the best to use on different occasions.

This is a bakery. They sell to grocery stores. They just have day old stuff for walk in customers so don't think it's a place to buy rice cakes.

I like the rice cakes but I question what are the black bits/black fragments embedded into some of them? I should find out what score the public health department gave them.

Worst Korean rice cake ever. Tasted days old ... smelled weird like plastic. I have tried their Duk a handful of times, and each time vowing never to buy their duk again because it's the same each time (old tasting, not soft and chewy ). This time, I am really vowing never to buy their duk again!

Had individually wrapped rice cake and boxed duk for 1 year birthday. Hope to see them do more variations in the near future.
