The meat is so tender and very flavorful, by far, most delicious Galbi-jjim and naengmyeon we've tried

Food was interesting but not bad. Service was terrible. When I walked in, I politely asked for a table for 2. Behind me there were 4 ladies speaking in Korean and the server ignored me and seated the party behind me into a booth straight away. Afterwards same server told me to sign in on their iPad to ‘check-in’ even though there were plenty of seating available. If I had gone on my own, I would’ve left and not spent anymore time in the establishment but since I was with a friend, we stayed for lunch.

Kunjip, do better! Looks like terrible service is a common theme at this restaurant.

Phone receptionist is extremely rude. Got hung up 3 times by the same woman, even not allowing me to finish my sentence on saving the copy of receipt for me. This is not a random small place, please behave appropriately.

The most impressive food is the Galbi Tang. Beef short rib soup with clear noodles, green onion, dried jujube, sliced egg.

Kunjip is a cozy spot for Korean comfort food in a strip mall alongside other Korean joints. Their cold noodles are a refreshing hit, perfect for cooling off. The beef tendon is impressively soft, practically falling apart. Spicy soup was just okay, not the star. The banchan steals the show with its fresh, vibrant flavors. Only bummer—no BBQ to grill up some fun. Still, a lively gem for a quick, tasty Korean fix!

This restaurant seems to have nothing in common with the newer Kunjip in Mountain View other than the name and logo.

Most importantly, the menus are totally different. The menu at the other Kunjip is upscale like Ondam, with ingredients like real crab legs and wagyu beef, many and varied banchan, and high-end service, with prices and lines out the door to match. The menu at this Kunjip is limited. It's mostly soups like you can get at Seoul Gom Tang, only without the breadth of choice (and the homey family-run feel) you get at SGT.

This Kunjip unfortunately doesn't even make it onto my top 10 list for Bay area Korean restaurants. Go to SGD Tofu House (I prefer the one on Saratoga) or Dae Bak if you're looking for something on the affordable side, or Kunjip MV or Ondam if you're feeling splurgey.

Our family love their cold noodle nengmyun. It is very delicious and very refreshing. Their cucumber kimchi, radish kimchi and cabbage kimchi is the best! ❤️

Best kimchi I've ever had. It has oysters inside (sometimes)! Galbitang is also the best in the area, nothing comes close.

Does it make sense to have 14 pieces of bones in the Galbi Jim? There certainly weren't that many pieces of meat.

visited here twice and it was tasty and good. you can get good korean food but as you know, it feels like expensive a little bit as a korean. I recommend you to bring some friends to get braised pork together. it is worthy to eat.. I hope you enjoy this foods from here.
