Food is consistently good here. My husband picks up our take out order so I can't review the atmosphere or service but I do love their katsu chicken. We come here all the time :) my husband loves the short ribs.
I've only ordered takeout from this location, but I can tell the restaurant itself has that sort of local Hawaiian type of vibe. Yes, the portions are really big. My wife and I just ordered food for lunch and it'll definitely feed us at dinner too (and possibly a little bit for breakfast). This location is super generous in its portions. One combo plate can feed maybe 2-3 people. The price is worth it. Two scoops of rice is plenty plus the mac salad or tossed salad. Usually hawaiian places would fill the plate under the entree with cabbage. They also put a bed of cabbage but not as much as other places, a reasonable amount, which leaves room for them to squeeze in the entree of your choice as much as they can.
