A cafe is like a cafe. Pleasant location and polite staff. I really liked it, so to speak.

I was told about this gem across the street from our office by a leasing representative. Reading the old reviews five years ago, there were comments about the food being overpriced. They must've not ever raised prices, as in today's inflationary environment, it is a steal to get an eight dollar hamburger or a five dollar hotdog. The service was just ok but at these prices I could car less. Great value and convenient!

Friendly service and a hot cup of tea ? ?

If you work in the area you definitely need to try out this newly renovated cafe with new weekly menus and daily hot grill items. They also have grab and go's if you're in a hurry, the food is amazing and the prices are great if you don't want to put stress on your wallet. I eat here everyday for lunch and have loved every meal I have got .

I agree with the person below. I also had many unpleasant mornings because of one rude waitress at the cafe, who always seemed unpleasant and was slamming customers' orders on the counter.I saw so many other customers being overwhelmed by her attitude. As a relatively economical cafe, it has a bit of monopoly in Freedom Circle, and busy people who work nearby would still go to this cafe, but their services really need improvement. Food is reasonably priced and good.

Good place for a quick lunch. The menu is limited and as a result the food is good.

Very overpriced. Food is only so-so. With that said, it is very convenient if you work close by, workers are friendly and the place is clean

One of the only public options for food in the Freedom circle area it seems like. Pretty nice cafeteria with good variety. There is a coffee bar adjacent to the kitchen as well. Had their grab-and-go roast beef sandwich and it was quite food for a pre-made item. Large seating area and meets the need for a quick lunch in the area.

I'd give 3 stars for the food but not for the service, that deserves a single star. I am a regular at the Mission Cafe as I work in the same building. Though the food is pretty good they unfortunately serve their food without as much as a smile, a hello or even an occasional " enjoy your food". I have repeatedly had the folks behind the counter just slam my order unpleasantly on the counter. I am not sure if they are selectively rude or if it is only reserved only for a few patrons. There are a lot of other choices around like Freedom Cafe, Pedros, Birks and even Whole Foods- if you don't want to be served with an attitude that can result in an indigestion!!

I am pretty sure that many people who walk around the Mission building on Mission College do not realize there is a cafeteria there common for many companies and open to the general public. Its name? of course, Mission Kitchen. Since my company does not have cafeteria and I don't always bring my awesome picnic food to parks nearby with me...sometimes places like this come very handy. Food is really good with reasonable prices. Everything is pretty clean and spacious and menus rotate. There is a Starbucks at the entrance, between the main lobby of the building and the cafeteria itself (that gives for another review as many probably don't know there is another Starbucks in the area!). Mission Kitchen also offers free frutal waters and is a nice way to mingle with people from different types of jobs than yours an from multiple companies and sectors. Who said you cannot network while munching? Maybe your next job offer happens in between bites!

It's convenient but overpriced. The portions for the lunch special are small. The Thai curry chicken came with 4 pieces of chicken and a little rice with green beans and it costs 10.50. I could get a lunch special at an authentic Thai place for less and bigger portions.

I used to work in the building across this place in Freedom Circle. A nice place for lunch. They have a salad bar, sandwiches, soup, and a couple of daily items on the menu. The price is reasonable for around $10 and the portion is just okay. The items on the menu varies widely from pasta to burritos and anything in between. I always get a cup of large soup (~$4.50). They always have two choices of soup (vegetarian and with meat). Fridays, they usually have clam chowder soup which is one my favorites. Plenty of clams and not too much potatoes. They don't have fountain drinks but they do have free water with lemon in the condiments section.

The price does not match the quality of food.
