Chungdam was a unique combination of simplistic feng shui & classic atmosphere feels. It felt elevated-better than your typical greasy BBQ restaurant. It was nice to have everything prepared & cooked for you. I personally don’t like going to BBQ places where I have to prepare it all - no coordination lol. The server was professional, though distant, as if they didn’t enjoy the job.
We also felt very rushed through the meal, even though the restaurant had plenty of empty tables that night.
I would rate it 3.5. ( I would normally rate it a 4, but since this is an upscale restaurant that costs $100 per person, I expect more)

The first time I came here was many years ago, and I don’t remember them offering higher quality meats back then. This time, we ordered the Chungdam Prime Galbi, which our server recommended—and it was absolutely delicious. I also ordered the spicy cold noodles, and to go with the meat, I requested lettuce, jalapeños, garlic, and chili paste for wrapping.
