Go-to ice cream stop in the South Bay. Great selection of flavors, with some expected staples + many unique rotating options. Good selection of vegan options (and not just sorbets!), which is noted on the menu itself. Gluten free options are not noted on the menu board, but easily accessible online, where full ingredient lists are also provided. Great for those with allergies or intolerances.

I had such a fantastic visit to Salt & Straw recently, and it was all thanks to the incredible service provided by Nick. From the moment we walked in, Nick made us feel welcome and excited to try the adventurous flavors Salt & Straw is known for. It's rare these days to encounter someone so enthusiastic, kind, and generous with their time — especially in customer service. Nick went above and beyond, offering us a variety of samples without hesitation, and really took the time to explain each flavor and what made them special. His passion for the ice cream and for creating a positive customer experience was clear in every interaction. It truly elevated our visit from a quick stop for dessert to something memorable and meaningful.
We ended up getting the Pear & Blue Cheese and the Goat Cheese Marionberry Habanero, and WOW — both were absolute flavor bombs!!

Don’t go here unless you want to be addicted to their ice cream. I’m mad they don’t have the goat cheese marionberry habanero anymore - but that’s the deal with the fire flavors .. limited runs

This should surprise no one that Salt n Straw is the absolute GOAT of ice cream. It's legit hard to eat ice cream anywhere else. A must visit when I have guests in town or am feeling my sweet tooth. From the unlimited sample options to the innovative seasonal flavors, every experience is as reliable as it is delicious :)

I recently visited Salt & Straw for the first time and decided to try their Coffee & Love Nuts flavor—and I’m so glad I did! Every bite was packed with rich coffee ice cream and delightful clusters of chocolate-covered nuts that added the perfect crunch and sweetness. It was a fun and flavorful combination that really stood out.
Salt & Straw is known for their variety of unique and inventive flavors, making it a great spot for anyone looking to try something different from the typical scoop shop. Another bonus: they offer pints to go, so if you fall in love with a flavor (like I did), you can take some home and enjoy it later.
Overall, I’d give my visit a solid 4 out of 5 stars. Can’t wait to come back and try more flavors!

Literally 40 people in line cos I counted. 4 people working, only 1 person scooping for a long time. 1 person directing the line to move to the other side of the store. If more people are scooping, the line wouldn't be this long, would it?
