Man at the cafe accused my daughter of stealing a bag chips!! Did not ask her to speak to us, her parents. Tries to show my daughter a security video, which shows her doing nothing but staring at the chips. When we confront him, he says he never accused her of stealing. If you're that concerned about a $0.50 bag of chips that you trying to resell for 2 bucks, keep them behind the counter!! Don't let kids roam anywhere near this place!! Stop at 7-Eleven or the bagel shop across the street.

They were able to seat us fairly quickly. They have many scrambles and egg based breakfasts. The waitress was incredibly attentive and courteous.

The latte was fine (not that good honestly) But the best part about it is that it is convenient because it is within the library, the price is reasonable, and they have wide range of stuff to sell.

They charge for hot water...wait in a line for 15 minutes, and then realize I have no $1 cash for the hot water(no card payment for less than $3)

I did not eat here. I don't usually go to the Santa Clara Library, but rolled in to get some work done around 7:50pm. They close at 8. I sit down, and an employee immediately beelines for me and asks me if I'll be ordering something. I say "not now", because I might but who knows. He tells me to leave so other patrons can use the space. It's important to tell you that there were NONE other patrons waiting anywhere nearby. I get up and leave, and he closes shortly thereafter.

If I could I would give it no stars at all. Came for breakfast and we got 3 plates of burnt hash browns, over cooked eggs brnedict and when I sent it back I got water instead of yolk and ended up with soggy english toast. When I confronted the manager he was very rude and said "what do you want me to do about it." At that time the server came over upset asking the same queations. They ended up removing that plate from my check but they were so rude to someone who was being very understanding when it was the cooks mistake.

While I understand that loiterings are bad for foot businesses, booting people out even when your tables are empty isn't probably the best idea. I was a returning customer when the owner decided it's best to ask me to leave 20 minutes in because I hadn't ordered at the time. I had Bought drinks and pastries from this cafe several times since the library is my daughter's go-to for storytimes. The food and drinks were mediocre, so it had been mostly the tables and the service that had kept my business there. Now I pack my lunch whenever I visit the library and eat just in front of the cafe. What's a business without compassion? Au Revior, Sarah.

Cafe in a library?! Freakin' genius. Service was good, and looks like they accept cash and card. Prices are definitely $5 and under, very affordable. They have a pretty large variety of food and drinks for such a small cafe. I got the potato salad which was not bad for $2.75, and you get a good amount. Once I try more items, I'll update my review.

Chicken salad was Delicious!!! Surprise hit and at a great price. Even the lettuce in the sandwich was crunchy and not soggy. Highly recommend. Had a meal for under $10. Can’t beat that.
