Love when you can see and taste the quality!! ??✨
@taichipotshabu is hands down the BEST authentic Japanese shabu shabu in the Bay Area. Just look at the marbling on the meat and the richness of the broths. The best part, it’s AYCE! Service is amazing and they really make it feel like you’re having a comforting meal at home.

Had a really good experience here when we dined here as a group of 4. The food was excellent, especially the soup base recipe was much better than other hotpot restaurants I've been to. The owner and servers were all really nice and efficient, preemptively bringing us wagyu beef when we have ran out.
I'm really glad to have found this and will be coming back often.

Had tried several all-you-can-eat hot pot in the bay area. This one is very unique in terms of its 1) pot soup, 2) beef plate, and 3) source. For the soup they have the signature "black oily sesame soup (can't recall its name)" which is really/specially tasty. You don't need any source with it. For the beef, their wagyu (和牛) is tender and softly chewy, without taking only the fatty part of beef, very delicious. At last for the source, you have to try its special soy source (Japanese ponzu, with a unique favor of citrus). You will find that ponzu is just PERFET for the wagyu, seriously. They have a cheaper menu with less items on it, but that menu is sufficient allowing you to experience all the above mentioned. I have do my part and now its you turn: Go there and enjoy the pot!

There is nothing wrong with the restaurant. It’s just so overpriced for the mere meat options .
Other than that, food is fresh, service is awesome and attentive, nothing to complain about.

Great place to eat hot pot AYCE. We tried the Supreme option, not the higher end Ultra option, and we are pretty satisfied with the selection. The service and environment are great too. Will definitely come again next time.

Great service and busy dinner place. The shrimp and wagyu were fresh and the soup was delicious! The only thing that needs to be improved was the speed of the meat serving.

I had an incredible dining experience at Taichi Pot Shabu Shabu, where the Japanese-style hotpot truly shines. The dashi-based broth was rich in flavor, perfectly complementing the high-quality Wagyu beef, fresh seafood, and crisp vegetables. The variety of dipping sauces, especially the ponzu and sesame, added a delightful depth to each bite. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with a traditional Japanese design that enhanced the overall experience. The service was top-notch, with attentive and knowledgeable staff. If you're looking for an authentic and luxurious hotpot experience, Taichi Pot Shabu Shabu is a must-visit.

This is the best broth in and around this neighborhood if not all of south bay area. The owner is so attentive so is the whole staff... it's an unlimited food system that you order it in their laminated menu and they will serve it in a platter .... fresh... make that very fresh...
The place is dark colored scheme... and a very small restaurant in a small strip you easily missed it...
It'll be our go to place when it's shabu time ....
By the way it's Japanese shabushabu

Taichi pot shabu shabu has AYCE Japanese style hot pot.
Been going here for years, and it’s nice that they have halal beef options. You have to work with the waiter as they have halal Creekstone beef and Australian lamb. The hot pot is delicious and it’s nice that there is an AYCE restaurant that offers halal in the South Bay.
In regards to other dietary restrictions, they also accommodate gluten allergies and vegetarian. We had to request for a vegetarian and gluten free broth for our order.

Great hot pot place. You get three unlimited options to pick from - ultimate, supreme & premier. They recommend the supreme option. The wagyu was good. I liked their lamb, too. You can pick 2 stocks for your hot pot. We picked umami gyokai tonkatsu dashi (creamy) and Nagoya spicy red miso dashi (medium). The spicy one definitely had a kick to it at medium level. You also get the peanut sauce and ponsu sauce. Overall, great food.
