Hanasaki Sushi Bar

I had a fantastic experience at Hanasaki Sushi Bar! The sushi was absolutely delicious and tasted so fresh. The quality really shines through. The service was also excellent—attentive and friendly without being intrusive. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

I'll buck the trend. I wasnt impressed. One thing I will say right off the bat, the main comments in reviews that aren't positive talk about the high prices and I disagree. It's not cheap but also not outrageous. Which ia good because for me the prices were commiserate with the quality. Good and some things VERY good like the lemon ice cream desert, created by a non chef employee. If we go back it'll be for that desert. Phenomenal. The appetizers and sushi, it was good. Fresh. Creative. They did not blowe away and certainly don't deserve 5 stars or even 4. 3.8 or so. Service was great. Helpful, fun and attentive. So why not higher? You have to practically scream to communicate. The space is much smaller than the picture look, for me anyway and it's packed. It was one of, if not the loudest restaurant I've ever eaten in. Terrible. Cramped at the tables. Just felt.....repressive. If google reviews had a clue they'd make reviews 0-10 instead of to 5 so I could more accurately rate it. It's a 3.5, maybe a 3.7 and I typically round up but the noise level, and the amount of what I see as false love took it to a 3 for me. It's good, just don't expect great and of you want to speak to anyone in your party bring megaphone.

This is by far the best sushi in all of Santa Clarita (maybe even LA), there is nothing that even compares close!! The fish is fresh, the food is deliciously flavored. YOU WILL NOT REGRET making this your go to sushi spot!

Everything about our visit was perfect. I called earlier In the night to ask how they handle food allergies and the restaurant manager(owner?) assured me his staff would take excellent care of me. Which they did! We sat at the sushi bar and It was delicious and all of the staff were so kind and friendly. Really felt like we were waited on hand and foot here which Is not something I expect from any restaurant but this place made us and every guest feel special. We came In a little later, closer to close, but no one treated us like we were In the way or needed to leave. The manager (maybe owner?) was a kind man and was Interest In my soy free soy sauce I brought to dinner. He talked to every single table In that restaurant and everyone smiled at his presence. What a great host and what a lovely place to spend some money and eat amazing clean food.

We went in for Omakase dinner. Don't expect it to be the traditional journey-bound dinner experience. Place is too loud to hear what the chef prepared and when discernable he did not do a good job of explaining what was prepared. It was a purely basic description of what fish you are about to eat. Don't expect any personalization or for the chef to take you on a journey or any interaction. The taste and freshness was there, it was fresh, plating and presentation was basic. There is no visual appeal. Don't expect artwork like you'd expect from a traditional Omakase. There was no element of surprise. In a way, the sushi items on the Omakase dinner was available on the regular menu. Nothing unique or exclusive to the Omakase.

My learning, come here for the regular sushi menu, you will enjoy it and come back for more. As for your Omakase experience, I recommend you look elsewhere.

Best sushi we’ve ever had. Family owned, the owners are there every day socializing with the customers and making everyone feel like it’s their second home. Beyond happy we found this place. We now come here practically every week. The atmosphere is lively! Decoration unique and modern. We see similar faces all the time now which is a testament to customers coming back all the time. Majority of the fish is sourced straight from Japan, and some is local from Santa Barbara. The chefs will tell you all about the fish, its origins and habitat if you ask, but you don’t even need to ask - they’ll educate you on what you’re about to eat. The menu keeps being updated with new items. But for best experience just ask the chefs to create something yummy for you and you will love it, guaranteed!

Our experience here was 10/10 across the board. From the incredibly warm and attentive service, to creative, fresh, and perfectly balanced flavors, we were so impressed and look forward to our next meal here. My partner and I both have to eat gluten free, and as of this morning I can confidently say this establishment is celiac-approved. It is so nice to be able to eat great food and have restaurant staff not only understand your restrictions, but go above and beyond to ensure you have a great experience. The atmosphere was inviting and clean, and it is clear that staff are appreciated and happy to be there. Thank you so much for a wonderful meal, we will absolutely be back!

I wanted so bad to like this place because my sister and my friend had gone there and they raved about it. Not sure if they were having a bad day. The quality of the food wasn’t that good. Some rolls had a fishy smell/taste. Service was good but food wasn’t. I’m willing to give it another try.
