Had the fajitas,onion were under cooked and way to many ,hardly any other veggies,hardly any taste to the food ,I've had burritos taste is ok ,to big of tortillas not enough filler in side ,two inches from end is all tortillas,

Good place to go for outdoor dining. Their beer is served cold which is big plus. Staff is very attentive always to fill your salsa bowl and drinks.

Was picking up dinner for the family. Three meals. I asked for three salsas…one for each person and was told there was a limit of two salsas. The girl at the register said didn’t matter how many meals were ordered. Someone should work on the math there. You must have salsa with Mexican food. I left there with a very bad opinion of this restaurant. How much money did you cost yourself by losing a repeat customer? Silly. I am guessing if I had eaten in, there would have been no shortage of salsa. The food itself varied. Enchilada and rice and beans all really good. Hard and soft tacos were so-so. Cheese quesadilla very good.

If you are looking to enjoy a great dinner with your family and friends I recommend you to visit this restaurant. It was my husband and kids first time at this place and we left definitely satisfied with everything from the beginning to end. Great service from management and staff. Great environment. Food was delicious that even my youngest child finished all her food. Definitely going back. Oh and by the way that Albóndiga Soup was the best ? couldn’t leave without trying Dessert ? Thank you at La Cocina Bar and Grill on Bouquet Canyon Rd. for your great service! ?

We are regulars at this place. The wait staff and bartenders know us well since we are there that much. Over the past 7-8 months the kitchen has gone down hill drastically. I have returned a dozen burritos because the cheese wasn’t melted or the whole thing was cold. When I order to go I need to put it in the microwave. It’s unacceptable frankly and I don’t know if they had to hire new people in the kitchen or what but someone needs to tell them to prepare the food correctly. Can you imagine getting a burrito with cheese in it that’s cold? I deal with it every time I go into this place. I’m hoping this reaches the right person because I love this restaurant and it’s one of the only good Mexican places in the valley.

They don't treat their senior citizen customers very good - very bad experience this afternoon. My son and myself, (me 66), walk in at 5:20 this afternoon from 100 degree heat to have a quick early dinner. A guy starts to seat us at the only table, a table for 4. Then girl at the front register calls him back, and myself, and says it will be 15-20 before we have a seat for you. But you could sit in the patio, (100 degrees outside, and the only persons she sent out there). Nobody else had walked in the restaurant when we did, no larger groups, and they would not seat us at the open table inside, but rather save it in case a larger group comes in. Well we sat outside in the 100 degree heat with not much help from their ceiling fan. But that left a bad taste in our mouths. So as I am telling other friends this story after we left, their all saying we need to try Patron's. They have ample seating in a cool restaurant, good food, and a few servers left La Cocina to work there. Not brain science here to realize I cannot return to a place that just treated me like the Valencia La Cocina did, I'm done with them. The waiter an two other employees got an ear full from me before I left, and they were actually shocked that we were not given the open table.

We were unimpressed by this subpar Mexican restaurant. It’s a cattle call kind of place. The quality is lacking. The chips and salsa were bland and flavorless. The margarita was the worst we’ve ever had. Their bar tenders are lacking in this area. They water down their skinny margaritas with club soda. The club soda dominated the margarita. It was awful. We cold barely drink it. We should have sent it back. We gave this restaurant two tries, but we are done. I had the Chile relleno and it was decent. I also had the shrimp fajita dish and it was awful. It was flavorless and smothered with old flavorless onions. This is perhaps the worst dish I have ever had in a Mexican restaurant. My husband ordered the Chile verde. What a disastrous attempt at making chili verde. What he got was a pork in a pink sauce with peppers and onion. What a joke! Chile verde is a green sauce. This restaurant should be ashamed of themselves for serving this slop. The service was also terrible. Our waiters were always in a rush. They want to heard you in and out like cattle. There is zero ambiance. The restaurant is old and outdated. We’ve been to both the Seco Canyon and Bouquet Canyon Rd locations. Both a flop in our opinion. Same experience at both restaurants. This chain restaurant is not fit for us foodies and our foodie friends. We will not be back.
