Stopped in for lunch without looking at the menu. Smelled of great bbq from the street. Ordered the meat sampler appetizer without knowing what was included. The brisket bites were some of the best brisket I’ve ever had. The sausage bites with Alabama white sauce were awesome.

HOWEVER, AFTER OBSERVING THE OWNER’S DEFENSIVE RESPONSE AND CONDUCT, IT HAS BECOME INCREASINGLY CLEAR THAT MY CONCERNS WERE VALID.
Anthony provided excellent service and was very professional throughout my visit. Unfortunately, my interaction with the owner was a stark contrast and left a negative impression.
As I was leaving to meet someone, the owner approached me abruptly and accused me of not paying for my drink. Fortunately, the employee who had just assisted me was present and immediately confirmed that I had, in fact, already paid. Despite this, the owner dismissed her employee’s statement and rushed to the register to verify the transaction herself.
This situation felt both uncomfortable and unnecessary. The approach came across as accusatory and lacked professionalism, especially given that her own staff had already clarified the matter. As the only Black woman in the establishment at the time, the interaction felt targeted and singled out in a way that was difficult to ignore.
Overall, the experience was disappointing. While the staff member demonstrated good service, the owner’s handling of the situation overshadowed it. I would not return based on this experience.

By far the absolute best bbq. Brisket melts in your mouth. The ribs fall of the bone, Everything is full of flavor. Down to the bbq sauce everything made in house!!! Highly recommend.

Best place to eat near William S.Hart Park—did not disappoint! The food was amazing. I tried the two-meat plate with two sides. The brisket was tender and literally melted in your mouth, and the baby back ribs pulled right off the bone. Portions were generous and everything tasted great. I also had the pineapple cider, which was really good. Service was on point too.Will be my to go spot anytime in New Hall!

4/16/2026, 5 pm dinner, moderately busy, ordered 2 burgers medium, they came out quickly enough but were well done, and by then they were busier so...also had to flag down the waiter for our check, it was not a well oiled machine.

My girlfriend and I stay at a hotel nearby very frequently. It’s the first bar that we have been to in years and had a bad experience here. We walked into the bar side. No one greeted us so we asked an older blonde waitress walking by if there is any room for us at the bar. It seemed like we had inconvenienced her. She could have easily just said “yes take a seat” there’s plenty of room. In all honesty I was confused because there was not a single soul in that bar I thought they were closed. She must have been offended by the question and made a snarky remark. We decided to sit anyways, regardless of the bad attitude. She got our drinks down and was not attentive at all actually she didn’t talk to us the entire time not even asking if we’d like another drink despite still being the only ones there. We were planning on having more drinks but this kind of attitude and service is what keeps people away and now we realize why no one was at the bar side. Seems to be like this is a common issue bad service, high prices, and making excuses for it in the reviews no accountability. While we were there a we overheard a customer that had just received a drink from the same waiter, he had spilt his drink on accident. Instead making a new one and have a returning customer she asked him many questions to make sure she only makes him the same amount of drink he had before he spilt it. Seems a bit ridiculous and a spilt drink is worth less than a returning customer. We won’t come back or recommend to anyone there’s plenty of other great places around this area.

Brisket was definitely left out. Portions are too small for the price. I felt like I was getting scammed. I normally don't leave reviews, but I feel like I had to for this particular restaurant. Don't waste your time.
We made a brief overnight stop in Santa Clarita, staying at the Lexon Hotel on our way to Paso Robles. Crossed the parking lot/street to Smokehouse on Main for a Happy hour drink and for dinner. The place was quaint and adorable. We were greeted right away and served (by the owner, I think?). While we were planning dinner, she directed us to, and told us about the happy hour food menu items. Great recommendations, whereas had we ordered dinner, would have been more expensive!! Her recommendation were fabulous. Food was DELICIOUS!! Service was excellent and we left feeling as though we had a great little adventure and found a wonderful gem! Highly recommend!!

Server was the only one was she was running around trying to handle everything which she was! Definitely a hustler worker! She was handling everything well. The menu is little bit pricey so expect to spend some. Even solo

Came here for a double date with some friends and really loved the food, ambiance and love music.
The food was excellent and our waiter Daphne was so warm and friendly. She made our time here great.
The food here is exquisite. They really go all out to prepare the meat with all the flavors. I was like wow when I had the pulled chicken sandwich on the brioche bread.
