Lots of food to choose from. A good family place as everyone can get different items. We went on a Friday and they had live music. Lots of people but we still found seating without a problem. Had a portobello mushroom burger and fries. Very good. No table serve. You get called for pick up.

A slice of Santa Cruz rebirthed from the 70s. The old Cooper House, transformed into a multi-cultural food and music extravaganza.

Re the pizza place opposite Cat Cloud coffee at Abbott Square This is a bit concerning - yesterday while getting coffee we sat by the pizza place & I noticed a big open tub of sauce sitting on the counter - no lid… ewww - left overnight obviously. Ok that was kind of gross. Today we sat in same place & there was a stack of pizza trays, with the pizza still on them - uncovered off to the side of the counter!!! Ready to be heated back up & served today I’m guessing! So disgusting - no covering on them - rodent ready! Guess I’m going to have to cross this place of my list of good pizza! Yuck!

What a great location in downtown Santa Cruz. This has quickly become one of of my favorite places to visit with groups, since it is so easy to purchase different meal options and drinks and hang out in a comfortable outdoor space. The food options are reasonably priced for the quality, and the two I visited were friendly and accommodating of doetary restrictions. Music and events several night per week.

I love Abbott Square. It's become my second home. Large outdoor seating area, plenty of room for dancing. They light up heat lamps in the evenings I always bump into people I know there and I've made a lot of new friends there as well. They have music, djs and events all the time. It's free. The best part are all the food options, so if you go with a group, you don't all have to eat at the restaurant or split the bill because we eat on the community patio. Oh and every single one of the eateries there are excellent!!!! There is a bar and wine bar too, for those who drink.

Review specifically for the panini place (“Press”). Ordered the caprese panini. Took 10 min which is fine. All that came out was HALF (!) a panini with no basil and just 1 sad tomato slice and cheese for $9. First off , where is the other half of the sandwich ??? According to worker that’s how the portion is ….and there was no basil on the sandwich. Laughably bad. Turkey sandwich ordered wasn’t much better. Turkey is pre packaged store brand quality junk.

Fun please 6 to meet friends, get a drink, have some food. Enough variety that everyone should be good from vegans through meat eaters. Has heat lamps for outside seating. Love music weekend nights.

Owner is a short angry man with very little control of the area. Oh plus they leave the “private bathrooms” with a door code so homeless people can’t come in…. But they leave the DOORS WIDE OPEN so HOMELESS people can shower and smoke crack in the sink. #
