This place definitely deserves 5 stars. The food was very delicious and tasty. The flavors were very delicate and had a somewhat Asian note. The scallops and the salmon were amazing. We couldn’t decide which one was better. It was the juiciest salmon my husband and I ever had.

We had dinner at the bar facing the kitchen, and it was great watching the chefs at work. The good was fantastic and the drinks were yummy. I wished that the dessert menu were more robust. A nice splurge!

It's expensive but very good. Has a big city vibe. Presents like a Michelin starred restaurant. I enjoyed it very much. Also fun to talk with the executive chef about the food prep at the chefs counter. And to watch them work in the kitchen.

We made a reservation for Valentine's Day for 5:30. We called ahead to say that we would be 15 minutes late and they were accommodating. We sat down at 5:45 and ordered entrees. At 7:00pm we still hadn't been served our food. When it arrived at 7:15, it was cold so we sent it back. Super disappointing.

As always the food was exceptional. We opted for the fixed price three course, with a side of Hen of the Woods mushrooms. Good choices each dish fresh and delicious. Only complaint was that our cocktail order did not arrive until half way through the first course - and they were not that crowded. But the cocktails were very good. The experience is consistently “expensive but worth it”.

PROS: taste, I really liked the parmesan poppers and coppa for appetizer, and the filet mignon was the best I ever had! CONS: price, that filet mignon was $90 and didn't even include a side. I was not impressed with the Profitterol, I wouldn't choose this dessert again.

We expected more but were let down on the menu, service and ultimately the food itself. When greeted with reservations we were supposed to be seated at the end of the bar facing the kitchen but we chose the bar as a better option. The bartender gracefully allowed us to try several wine selections which was perfect but after that it was downhill. The menu was a bit lacking in SIDES for the steak options-there were none! We were told that if a side dish for a steak on a plate was desired, ordering one of the appetizers or other menu selections was the only option. Strange as the pasta selections and even the hamburger section had "side dish offerings". When the steak was presented it was cut into 5-7 slices but reassembled. I found this to be very unusual and didn't like it as it appeared the kitchen had seared each piece perhaps to cook it faster-not sure. At no time were we asked "how is the preparation" or even "would you like some pepper..." Midway through our meals we finished our wine/drinks without notice by staff. We literally had to ask if we could please have another drink-very strange for a $36 glass of wine! Another patron sat down next to me and ordered a hamburger which, to be frank, looked WAY better than my $90 "steak on a plate", at least it had some lettuce! We opted out of dessert so I cant speak to that other than there were only two choices of a traditional nature. All in all I would say they would probably be better to call themselves a fancy hamburger place than anything else as I regret not ordering the delicious smelling hamburger that was consumed to my right.

Exquisite food craftmanship. The burger has to be the best in the entire country. Curated wine collection and outstanding drink menu. I recommend counter seating to watch the food art being made. Well worth driving 2 hours for!

We went there for my son’s birthday dinner, and we were there for Happy Hour. The restaurant looks great and inviting, with great atmosphere. We all ordered the Burger & Beer, we also ordered the Oysters, Pommes Frites, Caesar Salad, and the Tempura Squash, and some cocktails. The food was amazing, including the hamburgers. The service was excellent, the waitress Sloan was great, and manager Chris came to check on us too, and knowing it was my son’s birthday offered him a glass of champagne.

If you don't order the “Hen of the Woods” mushroom, you are missing out. I'd venture to guess that even people who say they don't like mushrooms would be delighted. Great food and great service. Absolutely LOVE watching the kitchen.

The food at Alderwood was excellent as has been the case for some time. The service was friendly, competent and reasonably prompt. Their appetizers were superb and large. The wine list was short, but included some quality choices.

Food is good. Service is so bad. The waitress didn't pay attention to us.Our glass of water was left empty for half an hour. I asked for a togo box and it took her another half an hour to give us the box. The restaurant was not even that busy. So disappointed.

Excellent food with very high quality ingredients. Beautiful presentation without being pretentious. Wide variety of dishes, in all price ranges (from more casual burgers and fries to more high end stuff like dry aged ribeye). Menu changes frequently so you can always try new things. They have a happy hour until 6pm.Service was very good and friendly.

It's pricey but worth every bite. The cocktails are fabulous. Popovers to die for with the cured ham jam and butter. Ate so many of the appetizers plus a Cesar salad didn't have room for an entree. Can't wait to go back and try the rest of the menu.
