It took me a while to finally try Arslans and I'm so glad I did. They have a ton of vegan friendly menu items and even its own separate menu so you have many items to choose from. My friend and I ordered a Falafel Wrap with a side of fries for our movie and they were so kind to cut it in half and even have all the sauces on the side, just in case we wanted them later. The falafel wrap was very hearty, savory, and crispy. The fries were banging too and made for a great side while watching our movie. I definitely want to come back to try some more of their items - maybe ones that are a bit harder to sneak into a movie theater.
Found this gem today! Wonderful flavors, great portions for the prices, quality food, and great customer service! Not to mention it's in the heart of downtown Santa Cruz. Loved it!

First time here and the cook was super helpful about swaps as I'm GF. I had the beef and lamb döner with hummus and loved it. Excited about going back to try the different Turkish Delights!

I’ve tried Vegan Kebab from Impossible Meat in Los Angeles but was pretty surprised to find vegan Lahmacun in Santa Cruz area! The Lahmacun was complimented nicely with fresh and juicy butter lettuce and picked vegetables, the sauce was garlicky and delicious, and most amazingly pita bread tasted like homemade, not store-bought!!!
Can’t wait to come back and try their falafel wrap! I haven’t yet seen Vegan Kebab in the Bay Area, it would be amazing if they added kebabs… bring your vegan friends here and let’s show some support- maybe they will make Impossible kebabs in the future! Turkish delight marked with “VG” are vegan too.

Loved the food - the beef and lamb doner plate was delicious and had a fresh salad with it. Also had the red lentil soup - you have to try this! Beautiful and tasty desserts - the baklavas and turkish delights. Friendly folks, great service

Three of us had lunch on a Sunday. This is counter service. There was no wait when we arrived. The menus is small The food has an interesting take and is unusual. We were offered tastes for which they get big points. We enjoyed our meal. The prices are fair so we felt comfortable trying food with the understanding that the food is unique. Some dishes were better than others. I wasn’t fond of the soup. The Turkish delight was really good.

Arslans is genuinely one of the best restaurants in Santa Cruz. I order new menu items each time I visit Arslans, and the food is always excellent. I'd recommend the Turkish tea and hummus in particular. There are myriad options for dining in downtown Santa Cruz, and I say quite confidently that you can never go wrong in choosing Arslans, a wonderful community establishment with friendly service and great food. 5 stars.

We ate here on two separate occasions and enjoyed our doner very much! So fresh and tasty! The sauce was perfect and ingredients were great! I also got a turkish coffee, which came with a turkish delight. Again, loved it all!
