Organic ingredients and bold flavors. Many options for different tastes. Always friendly service.
Literally the fastest service
Good food, good portions- not very spicy, tiny knats near the food so not great ambience
One of our favorite Santa Cruz restaurants.
First time here was about 25 years ago. My 18 year old son has been eating here for 18 years. In those 18 years he has probably eaten more teriyaki salmon bowls then anyone.
5 stars everytime.
Delicious healthy food for a good price.
11-9-24: Delicious quality food at excellent prices with a fun casual vibe! Food taste beat my expectations and they seem highly sensitive to diner’s needs. Picnic table self service seating. You’ll need a code to get in the restroom. There were 7 in line ahead of us but it moved along 2-3 minutes each. Don’t tell anyone—especially tourists.

noodle soup sucks..
I’ve driven by this spot a lot and always thought like it looked really cool and had great reviews, however this spot was a bit confusing to eat at. If you’re expecting some msg greasy chinese food and noodles this is not the place to eat at. I went here with my girlfriend and we got the Chow Mein and Spicy Dan, and what we got definitely didn’t seem to match our expectations.
The noodles were more reminiscent of spaghetti and the sauce was like creamy and not too flavorful, we felt like we had gotten some weird pasta rather than asian food. I’m not a picky eater and will eat almost anything, but this is the one time where I didn’t feel like eating my leftovers. My gf couldn’t hand off her leftovers to her roommates either. The Chicken was solid at least although it reminded me of green mole rather than curry and ginger lemonade was good.
I’m kind of confused about the really high ratings since the food isn’t really what’s expected, but I guess if you’re vegan and haven’t had much exposure to asian food due to your diet it could come off as really good. So if you’re vegan and tight on options I recommend I suppose, but if you’re not go somewhere else. At least it tasted fresh and you feel healthy after. Maybe the rice bowl or sandwich would’ve been better, but like I was incredibly disappointed and we both wished we had gone to another spot.

Is it the best thing I’ve ever tasted? No. Is it pretty delicious while being moderately healthy and cheap? Yes! For more flavor be sure to use the teriyaki and chili sauces. Otherwise this is an excellent choice for a quick and healthy sub $15 meal.

This place is just so Santa Cruz – you can’t really call what they have indoor seating (see picture), but you can see the food is prepared with love and joy, and it is healthy, delicious and fresh. It's become a favorite with me and my family.
Vegetarian options: I recommend the Spicy Garlic Tofu Dan Dan bowl.
