As a student who has traveled multiple states and visited different dining facilities, UCSC has one of the best (look, they're not michelin-starred restaurants, but this place ranks above the rest given the competition).
The views, though, are definitely up there compared to ANY location.

Well, it's dining hall food. It will be a hit or miss with most people. The pizza there is solid, the other foods will taste like they are missing some flavor. Overall, it's a fine all you can eat buffet.

It's almost always busy here, especially late nights, but that should be fixed by keeping another few dining halls open later.

UCSC's student restaurant is said to have the highest CP value among the universities in California. A meal per person is $8, and the buffet is all-you-can-eat and delicious. And this cafeteria is recognized by UCSC students as the best cafeteria.

The UCSC cafeteria provides three meals. Breakfast types are relatively fixed, mainly Western-style, including cereals, milk, coffee, etc. Lunch and dinner are rich in variety, and the staple food is different every day. You can refer to the daily menu provided by the student restaurant. There are fixed pizzas, lettuce salad bars, dessert areas, beverage areas, fruit areas, and unlimited ice cream every day. There are probably one or two kinds of staple food that change. In short, you can eat a lot. In addition, fruits can be taken away.

In addition to three meals, the cafeteria also serves late-night snacks (08:00-10:00PM) for students who finish class late or have a craving for food at night.

UCSC provides a very good learning environment and dining environment. It is a university where you will become very healthy.
