CLOSED for summer. Obviously. But thought we try anyway. 😉
Free food that is deadvss more tasty and filling than anything else you will find on campus. A lovely variety of dishes that utilise fresh produce from the farm. Whenever I am sad, merely remembering the existence of the CCS makes me feel a lot better. CCS is a reason to smile and dance in the sunshine and be grateful that one is alive.
all the staff are pretty cool too sometimes they remember me

Great campus !! Beautiful views! Excellent robotics program too
cafe food at this location - very good. staff is always super even when they have a full house. there was fast, efficient, and courteous service. food is similar to a cafe in portland i liked.
I actually really enjoy the new “for the people's†Cowell coffee shop. Now they have free fruits and veggies that you can juice in the very new juicer. Besides that it's basically the same as it was. They also have “slug kitchen sessions†where they teach you to make tasty food.
My review is as a first time visitor to the campus. My daughter was a a summer cap here. I was overcome by the beauty of the campus. Sitting outside on a bench overlooking the sport field was majestic. The hot air and spicy earthen scents from the redwoods mixed with salty-tangy scents from delicate wafts of cool ocean air must be what heaven smells like. I wish I would have went to college here and I hope my kids choose to!
I loved it! Phenomenal professors, beautiful grounds, and nice apartments. I also enjoyed the chance to meet students from all over the country. I'm always telling people how much I loved my time there! In fact I'm gonna ask permission to come spend time on campus. I would like to maybe come reminisce. And I could bring a friend or two with me! I lived at both Kresge and Oakes, but ate all meals at Porter.
One of the best decisions of my life was to choose UCSC as my undergraduate school. I had the best professors: knowledgable, compassionate with very high expectations. My UCSC laid the foundation for me to succeed in my doctoral program in clinical psychology and my current career as an Associate Professor. I also established life long friendships with people who are more like family. Highly recommend!!
This is a good place to hang out and do homework and stuff if you can find a spot but it's a tiny place so it's sometimes to find a power outlet
