The atmosphere/view started our experience with promise. But when we found a used, dirty bandaid buried in our salad and management took zero accountability, we were completely disappointed. We could see management through the glass show the plate to the cooking staff and ask them about it. Heads shook no, of course they did, why would they admit it? Management didn’t even bother coming to our table to apologize. Super rude. All they did was take the salad off of the bill. We still ended up spending $300.00. Accidents happen, we understand that, but for management to look our way a few times and not even acknowledge us or apologize was ridiculous. We will definitely not return. If I was the owner I would want to know that people feel negatively towards my business due to my management.

Very beautiful location of course i will not doubt that, however that was the only thing this place had going for them… during our visit at least.Me and my wife came for our 7th anniversary because we seen the reviews were good and food looked good and just wow I'm so surprised with the experience we had. We both ordered 8oz stakes medium cook and they both came well done, they also were so bland all i could taste was the meat flavor. Vegetables on the side were hard, as if they were not cooked. We also ordered an appetizer which was the oysters… HUGE mistake. Im sure its not always like this, based off the reviews I've seen however an hour after eating here i was throwing up.. and my wife had lets just say extreme stomach discomfort. Needless to say our anniversary was RUINED. We have three kids and this is the first time we've been out alone sense 2022 and it ended VERY early due to the sickness we felt after eating here. It had to he the oysters cause the steak and vegetables couldn’t of done this. Could have been an honest mistake but it definitely killed our whole day. Would absolutely not be coming here again, very disappointed.

Great view unfortunately that does not enchance the taste of their food clam chowder taste like it came from a canned brand. Calamari has no flavor red snapper has no flavor. Only flavor i got off of my plate was the rice. Should change the restaurant name to firerice grill. Waiter also left me with an empty cup through out my visit.

Firefish Grill, located on the Santa Cruz Wharf, offers delightful seafood dishes. The teriyaki salmon with vegetables is particularly delicious, showcasing fresh flavors and perfect grilling. An excellent choice for seafood lovers seeking a satisfying dining experience by the sea.

The service was incredibly slow, the food wasn't as hot and the taste was odd, the space was not as welcoming as it seems. Overall disappointing

While On vacation I came to this establishment and will certainly NOT be back!!! Their food was subpar at best and the prices were outrageous! The staff were all on their cell phones not being attentive at all. when I asked for a simple side of honey mustard I was given attitude by a food runner named Hunter …. He rolled his eyes and said “sureeeeeee”. Very unprofessional I will not be returning !

This restaurant is getting an unusual five-star review. I say unusual, because fishing pier and tourist area restaurants don't usually do so well in my book.I had the grilled seafood platter and my friend had the steak. Both were cooked and seasoned to perfection. The mixed green salad exceeded expectations. The blue cheese salad dressing tasted homemade. The french fries were fresh and crispy, and I did not have to request them extra crispy. For dessert both my friend and I had creme brulee. The serving size was the largest I've ever had in a restaurant. It too tasted fantastic. Service also exceeded expectations. My diet Coke glass was always full. And the busser cleared dirty plates the second to the last particle of food was removed. All in all, I'd say the service was exceptional. And I love the ambiance. We were seated at an unusual table with both positions facing outward toward the window. Initially we laughed because it almost felt like we were on a two judge panel in a courtroom. But it turned out to be an excellent arrangement. We had a fantastic view of the Santa Cruz Bay and the seating area was comfortable and not cramped. Parking on the pier was super cheap. It was a little drizzly outside, so being able to park right outside the door of the restaurant, that was ultra convenient.A rare experience, I have zero complaints or concerns. I would definitely eat here again and I recommend tourist and locals alike give this place a shot. I'm glad I was not put off by the low Yelp score.

The fish n chips were excellent, nice view also. I went into women's restroom before being seated, it smelled and was dirty, I wanted to go someplace else, thinking food would be bad. Fish with panko very good, just please spruce up restrooms!

Everything was good. My only real issue is we had three appetizers each having a sauce for them. Menu description each app had different sauces. All three were the same kinda cream sauce. Each lacking some seasonings. I had their meat loaf off the " Locals Menu". It was great it came on a bed of mashed potatoes and topped with thinly sliced onion rings. Real comfort food for me. I really enjoyed their seafood croquet. It's an entree that we ordered as an appetizer. Which was not a problem. The "Locals Menu" is a nice option, that I think all local restaurants should have. Thank you

Amazing. Get the prawns and crab cakes. The portions were great! The halibut fish and chips to die for. The MP oysters were not bad but I should have skipped that because it was kind of bland.
