The best beer in Santa Cruz. Go on a week night or Sunday because it fills up with annoying SJ tech types on Saturdays. Original Socks and Sandals voted the best Hazy IPA by my friend group. Perfect way to end a bike ride.

An award should go to whoever came up with the idea to make a beer garden on the wharf, and then successfully made it happen. Such a great place - outdoors, views, ocean air, and of course incredible beer. Great staff, lots of seating, often (if not always?) a food truck with something to snack on, just excellent all around. I've been a fan of Socks & Sandals Hazy IPA since I first tried it. Lovely spot with delicious beer. Prices were very fair ($7-9) for a big beer or seltzer. They also sell merch and have a food truck on the premises.There is a bathroom in the back that was clean (but a little hard to find).
