The only redeeming quality of this place is that the chicken itself is fried well. The sandwhiches are no bigger or better made than kfc or popeyes and they are overpriced AF. $13 for a basic sandwhich and they charge $4 for a tiny smear of avocado. Literally just go across the street to zameen. This place is not worth your money. Also, a friend of mine wanted her sandwhich cut in half because her arm is BROKEN. They did not cut the sandwhich, and when she asked for them to cut it again, they gave her a knife to do it herself.

When I saw the sandwiches, I thought they were going to be dry. I was pleasantly surprised at how juicy they were. I really liked the Crisy Fried Mushrooms, which were good, with the buttermilk ranch sauce. The Spicy Fried Chicken Sandwich was a little spicer than I expected, but it was still very good.I will say that I did think the food was overpriced.

This is the saddest looking burger ever. Look at the squished bread and 4 shreds of lettuce. The three stars are for the square.

The workers are super nice and chill. I got the spicy chix sandwich (not too spicy) but was literally delicious. Prices are great! You get what you pay for here. Definitely coming back.Vegetarian options: The mushroom burger was crispy and juicy. Great seasoning. Super filling!Parking: You gotta park downtown at the parking structure. Then walk 3 min here!Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly. Not too loud bot too quiet.Wheelchair accessibility: There are a few wheelchair accessibility spots!

This review is in reference to my experience at the downtown location. Today, I went to Flashbird and tried their Spicy Chicken Sandwich. It was at best ok/mediocre. I asked to order a drink and was advised that they do not offer drinks for sale beyond the root beer and lime soda which were each priced at 6$. Seems steep for a soda. This chicken sandwich was just that…breaded chicken in a bun with lettuce, pickles and tomatoes. It reminded me of the Foster Farms breaded chicken patties from Costco. For 17$ for 1 sandwich, it was overpriced and extremely underwhelming. Not going back.

Not sure what is happening to Flashbird. The last two times I've gone to the Scotts Valley stop, the onion tangles have been very undercooked. Last weekend I went to the one in Abbott Square and my daughter and I both had the fried chicken sandwich. After a couple bites, we discovered the chicken was raw in the center and they were out of onions and out of root beer.

I love the spicy chicken sandwich but it's an immensely poor value. One does not fill me up and two would be overkill especially at $14 a pop.Contrast this to the $10 dollar spicy chicken sandwich at The Bird in SF which is a meal on its own. I am not interested in add ons that raise the price and which the bun wouldn't support and only hide the chicken flavor . This is not gourmet foodIf I am at Katz deli in NYC or The Refuge in San Carlos for pastrami then $25 is worth it, but not hereWith Santa Cruz options limited I will continue to go to Flash Bird for their tasty overpriced snack item; and leave still hungry.

The fries are delicious. You can get different seasonings and it is very flavorful. The sand which is good but doesn't exceed expectations sadly. It's a little expensive, but it is Santa Cruz after all. Will be returning, I like how lively the eatery center is!

Unfortunately the chicken was lukewarm, unseasoned, and dry. Too overpriced for what you get and taste was underwhelming. I don’t recommend if you’re craving a chicken sandwich.

We had their onion tangles. They are the best. If you eat here, this is a must. Even if you are not a regular onion ring eater. These are soooo good. Enjoy.
