Running one cash register in a food desert part of campus makes for ridiculously long lines. Food is mediocre but not priced too high.
I’ve requested them to get gluten free bread for months and they still don’t have any. 5 stars if they did
This is one of my favorite cafés. This café is located in the McHenry Library on the UC Santa Cruz campus. I usually order an iced soy latte ($5), French macarons, and a croissant. Normally, I'm gluten-free, but their croissants are too yummy. What's a little rash compared to the joy in my heart when I have brunch here. I also order the gluten-free macarons too! My partner gets an iced Americano ($4), and he says it's better than most brand named cafés.

IT'S NOT WORTH IT. Worse than the dining halls. Most bland, soggy, overpriced bagel sandwich I've had in my life. Cashier didn't even know what was in them and started guessing instead of just taking the thing out of the case to check. Terrible service, terrible food, terrible price. Works if you're starving such that you can't crawl to the bookstore for a bag of chips. Maybe try eating the books at the library instead.

They serve avocado toast. This is the only place on campus that serves fresh food. You can tell that most of their ingredients are fresh. While the line is often 20 to 40 minutes long, the food here is astronomically better than almost anywhere else on campus. Compared to a restaurant, the food is average.

Really could be efficient but they chose not too. The line is impossibly long and they leave one cashier up there to die. I dont understand how students have an extra 45 mins to wait on a line that is circling the library just for simple bakery snacks and cheap coffee.
I got an iced vanilla latte- it was good and not expensive ($4.27 for a double shot). however the line to the register was pretty long (15 minute wait), although the drink came out quick once I had ordered it.
Again didn’t add the oat milk to an iced latte!! Happens frequently. Discomfort in stomach immediately while in the library.
*update, last three visits have included the correct milk4/29/22 adding a star

Nice workers and I like getting -10% off paying with flexis. Only improvement I would encourage is for the UC to pay the workers MORE, as they are working just as hard as other café workers (if not, even harder!) but can NOT receive tips.
this place sucks. the food is overpriced, coffee is watery and sometimes they randomly don’t accept credit card (even though they’ll leave a sign up that says accepts credit card)
