Beautiful property, friendly and helpful staff, excellent food at the on site restaurant The View. Great room, a calming environment, exercise facility, spa, pool, hot tub, walking trails, Pickle ball and bocce ball courts, a lovely view of the city of Santa Cruz below. It was very enjoyable and only a 2 hour drive from the Bay Area. They also allow pets on the property so you can bring your furry family members if you like.

We had a terrible experience today at the view. We waited for 45 minutes after being seated without being helped and deciding to leave. Waiters walked by us without paying attention. I walked up twice (first to a waiter and then the host) to ask for someone to please take our order. No one came. As we were walking out the manager said they had been a miscommunication and offered to help (how can miscommunication result in waiters ignoring us for 45 minutes and no one coming after we asked twice?). Sorry, too late. It is a shame as the location is great but the service ruined it for us

Given the rates charged, I anticipated a higher standard of cleanliness in my room. The significant amount of dust triggered my allergies, which rarely affect me to this extent outdoors. The high price did not correlate with the quality of cleaning. Unfortunately, my expectations were not met.

The view was pretty service was not great waited 20 minutes for our ticket. Macaroni was very bland ordered grilled cheese which was dry toasted panini bread and my fries were cold. It was so so and we were going to order room service for breakfast but now we wont.

Stayed a night here to unwind. Beautiful surroundings. Wonderful service at The View for dinner. Had the crab cakes, truffle fries, and beet salad. All delicious and service was wonderful. Had two house margaritas, too. Highly recommend. They had live music in the bar, and the view can't be beat. The hotel check-in was simple. Stayed in a king resort view room. Everything was clean, and the room had everything you needed. Grounds are beautiful for walking at dusk. Highly recommend from a local. This is the best place to visit and unwind.

Food and service were over the top. Granted it was a slower morning but it was great. There's a great amount of pride in this place I can tell. The chef said hello and the team seemed busy with tasks. Like they were getting ready or just staying busy. Nice to see this day and age. Kudos.

Our reservation was supposed to be 6:30. We were finally seated around 6:45, but not at a table. We were seated at a counter which was in need of cleaning. When no one waited on us for 10 minutes, we left. It was a terrible experience.
It was my daughter's 16th birthday, so I took her and a group of her friends to The View to eat dinner, while I got a table at the bar where I could see them. They made my daughter feel so special, celebrated her at every turn, and attended their table like they were VIP's. I felt like the staff truly wanted to make it a memorable experience for her. The food was top-notch and the view was breathtaking, especially during the sunset hour. Thank you Chaminade & the amazing staff at The View.

I celebrated my Birthday Dinner with reservations at 4pm, our waiter was amazing 5 stars! I was sung Happy Birthday too in the most beautiful language they went the EXTRA Mike to my day special & I will 100% recommend & encourage everyone to go here!! Wonderful

We had huevos rancheros and chilaquiles. Both were delicious, well prepared and well presented. Dessert was the star. Sticky toffee pudding with Marianne's ice cream and an ice cream sandwich made with ginger cookies.
We had a terrible server who made inappropriate jokes about having to pay him to ask questions. He never checked back to ask about drinks or ordering more. Our food took so long that I had to ask the hostess to get it. I told other staff he needs some serious training! He is not an asset to restaurant”s atmosphere.

Gian and crew took great care of our table. Sweet hostess. Fish & chips and birria tacos were quite popular. Forest to ocean view was exquisite. Lots of parking and also valet is available.
