The staff is so friendly and the food and drinks are delicious! The view is stunning. We've been here 3 times, 3 seasons. It is always gorgeous and always have live music in the evenings.

A Wonderful Hideaway Spot for a perfect Chill Romantic Rendezvous especially after a fun filled challenging Stick Shift convertible sports Car zip zap curvy drive on Highway 17S. Many Thanks to Jaxson for being so Attentive during our visit there. The Lush Green valley Tree Top View with the Ocean Sunset in the background was just perfect. Cocktails, Cabernet Sauvignon and Fish Tacos while whispering sweet nothings to her shall be a memory to cherish. We truly appreciated the outdoor heaters and blankets to make the atmosphere really cozy. Chaminade is always great visit to enjoy their outdoor grounds and nearby fun filled Santa Cruz & Capitola.

The scenery is beautiful and the staff was very nice and attentive. I ordered the breakfast sandwich and it was served with ‘hashbrowns'. I was expecting real hashbrowns and not ‘hashbrowns' from jack in the box. That was slightly disappointing.

I surprised my son and his girlfriend to a dinner at the view for their birthdays. The food was absolutely phenomenal but the cocktails are so incredibly overpriced. The kids each had two cocktails and it was almost $80 alone for the cocktails. Dinner for three and cocktails was over $300. In my opinion that's a bit pricey. The food was amazing and the view was beautiful. They really need to lower their prices tho. 🙁

The View Restaurant at Chaminade is a nice place for a special occasion. I suggest asking about ingredients in the entree as I was unpleasantly surprised the “mashed potatoes” were VERY strongly seasoned with what we can only assume was horseradish. Otherwise their food was delicious and well prepared and the view is beautiful at sunset!

Their sticky toffee cake is so delicious I went out and found a recipe to replicate it. Yummy!

We were given a great table at the railing on the patio with unobstructed views. However, our experience was marred by the fact that they ran out of several items on a Friday evening. We didn't find out they were out of things until after we attempted to order, which is unusual. Typically a server will let you know when they are running out of something in the kitchen or if something isn't available on a particular evening. And when you have a menu that is very small, to be out of a main course as well as a dessert seems like poor planning. The service was also odd; very attentive wait staff, but at the same time they would forget things. We had to ask for something at least three times before finally getting it well after our food was served. And the hostess made a big deal about it being a birthday celebration and told us that our server would make sure our honoree was acknowledged with something from the restaurant. However, the server brought the bill and we asked about the birthday item and he had no idea we were celebrating something. Just seems like there's a lack of communication issue. All of the staff we encountered (including valet) were polite and welcoming. I just don't think this experience was memorable enough for us to return.

Everything perfect, the stuff was friendly from welcoming to goodbye. The server was awesome. Quiet warm outdoor, and pretty fast, did not wait much to be aproached, for the food or drinls, everything perfect

No service! Lots of workers busy talking to one another. Waited for a seat ( lots of empty tables) once seated waited an hour for our order.
Don't come here if you are in a hurry.

Beautiful views and a breathtaking location. The food was fresh, delicious, and perfectly seasoned—not overly salty, which can sometimes happen with seafood. I made our reservation a week in advance and requested a window seat, as we were celebrating a very special 18th birthday. On the day of our reservation, I even received a confirmation call and was kindly reminded of my request. Upon arrival, I noticed a beautiful table for five by the window and was excited to surprise my daughter with dinner and a view. Instead, we were seated in a booth in the center of the restaurant, away from the windows. When I politely mentioned my prior request, the hostess responded that my reservation was for six guests, not five. That was incorrect—we were a party of five. Despite the empty table for five remaining unoccupied the entire evening, she refused to accommodate us. Unfortunately, such a special celebration was overshadowed by inflexibility and poor customer service. I hope management takes note so no one else has to experience this during an important occasion.

We stayed overnight at the Chaminade and had both dinner and breakfast at The View. The setting is beautiful, but the dining experience didn’t match the atmosphere.

Dinner was fine but forgettable. Our 6:30 reservation wasn’t ready, so we were seated at a different table with a lesser view. The waiter forgot the drinks menu, which caused some confusion. The food, including a burrata salad, scallops, chicken from the kids menu, and a side of wild mushrooms, was okay, and the service was friendly but disorganized. The scallops in particular felt like the chef was trying to do something more refined with them, but the result was just bland and soft, not elevated. When the bill came, there was no pen, so we signed with one of the crayons from the kids’ coloring set.

Breakfast was worse. Coffee was served lukewarm and sloppily poured, and both coffee and tea came in large mugs without saucers, which felt out of place for an upscale restaurant. Table settings were inconsistent, and there was no small spoon for tea. The waiter took a long time to take our order, didn’t seem to be entirely present when he finely checked on us, didn’t write it down, and later came back to confirm, and of course got it wrong.

Only part of the food arrived at first: pancakes, one side of fruit, and a bagel that came with lox even though we had asked for just cream cheese. When the waiter checked in and asked if everything was fine, we had to say no, it wasn’t. He admitted the order had been entered incorrectly and didn’t seem to know we had ordered the egg sandwich at all. The rest of the food followed after another wait. The second pour of coffee was at least hot. The two fruit sides looked completely different, one pale and sparse, the other colorful and fresh.

It’s also worth noting that for a resort focused on wellness, the breakfast menu leaned heavily on eggs, potatoes, and bacon, with very little that felt genuinely fresh or healthy.

We spent over an hour trying to have breakfast. Again, no pen was provided with the check, so the crayons made a return appearance. The coloring sheets for kids are a nice touch, though it was the same one at dinner and breakfast. Some variety would help for overnight guests.

The View has a lovely location and kind staff, but both meals felt a step behind. Well-intentioned, but unevenly executed and out of sync with the resort’s healthy-living theme.

I love this restaurant and have eaten here before they have fantastic choices on the menu and the food is always very tasty, hot and never disappoints. The reason for my low rating is simple: the noise level was unbearable. Conversation was nearly impossible because people were shouting over each other, and despite having excellent hearing, I could hardly make out a word. To make matters worse, the music was blasting. I enjoy good music, but if you're hoping for a pleasant, relaxing dinner, this is absolutely NOT the place. Period. I doubt this review will change anything—but you asked, so here it is.

Beautiful location. The service was awesome, our waiter was super friendly and attentive, and 2 different View managers asked if we were enjoying our experience. The calamari starter was the best I've ever had. My wife had the halibut and I had the shrimp fettuccine, both were very good. We moved out to the patio to enjoy the Nashville Nights concert. The patio and view was beautiful. Only concern was the patio bar was not prepared when the doors opened. The concert was fun. Charles Estes did a great job. Overall we had a great experience and enjoyed our night.

Chaminade is always beautiful, but tonight because of the rain and the clouds and the sunset it was profoundly beautiful. The manager, Ted, was amazing. He made us feel welcome and special and checked in on all the tables. Our waitress Bri was great. She checked in and made sure we had what we needed. We started with a burrata salad with peaches. The burrata was smooth and seemingly freshmade. Delicious. From there we shared the salmon and the ravioli. The salmon was perfectly cooked, skin crispy and beautiful light sauce. The only thing lacking on this plate were the mashed potatoes. The potatoes tasted dull compared to the rest of the food and almost like they were boxed. The pumpkin ravioli with chard and fresh tomatoes were fantastic. Aldente, tasty, craveable. We finished off the meal with the sticky toffee pudding with Marianne's vanilla ice cream. So perfect to share and delicious.
