I don't live in Santa Cruz. I came here on vacation and came to this bar/club. Bartender's we're quick and very nice people. Good demographic for mid 20's people. The bouncers also did a great job of taking care of me when I had a creep bothering me. Highly recommend this place for a good time.
Our Lyft driver recommended this place and after some food and hitting a few bars we ended our night here. Our group had so much fun dancing at Motiv. We followed a couple upstairs after we heard the bartender telling them there was a bar upstairs that was more chill. Sure enough a bookcase down by the restrooms is the entrance to the upstairs bar.
