I dined at Sala Thai on a whim. The decor was lovely and all of the plants made for a relaxing dining room area. I was seated immediately and given an extensive menu of options. The server returned quickly with water and I selected a curry for my meal. \n\nThey seem to do quite a bit of take out, but my meal came out relatively quickly and included a bowl of perfectly cooked rice. While visiting Santa Cruz, I ate twice at this place. Really good and delicious food with the right portions. I tried the drunken noodle, Pad See Ew and their basil fried rice. All great dishes. Their staff was very friendly also.
Sala Thai is one of the best Thai restaurants in Santa Cruz. The inside decor is intricate, beautiful, and unique, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The service was friendly and attentive, with staff checking on us often so our glasses were never empty.
The food was top notch. The appetizers, especially the pot stickers and shrimp rolls, were fantastic. For entrees, the Pad Thai and Pineapple Fried Rice were seasoned perfectly with outstanding flavors.
