I asked to swap papaya to pineapple on my order which they said was no problem but was given papaya. This wouldn't be the end of the world but my coworker was also given the wrong order. I'd still give them another chance but I was pretty disappointed.

I stumbled upon this Chicana-owned Brazilian acai cafe during one of my bike rides through Santa Cruz. I ordered the Carmen Miranda, which was the perfect blend of granola, acai, and fruit. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the menu. I'm so glad I stopped by, and I will definitely be back again!

Best smoothies in the area. My only complaint is those paper/cardboard straws are just awful. I'm all for saving the environment and the turtles and whatever but there has to be a better option than the paper straws. Halfway through the smoothie and I'm eating paper. No bueno.

A small little stop great for a delicious treat! My partner introduced me to Acai bowls a while back, and raved about this place being so good. He is so right! The fruits are fresh and delicious, the acai is perfectly blended and sweet and tasty with the peanut butter option. I'd go here again.

As much as I love the place and it's Portuguese speaking staff the acai is just a bit too loose and wish it was more solid. But the toppings are great, it seems hard to beat kitandia.
