First time checking this place out and I have to say I was really impressed with the pupusas! The chicharron con queso pupusas were delicious! I also really enjoyed the empanadas de platano. Definitely will be coming back soon :)
The popusas were so soft and full of meat. The cucumber water was very refreshing. Very delicious.
I’ve been coming here for years when I started college. It’s the best taqueria and the only pupuseria in Santa Cruz. The super burrito is fantastic, I usually order it w/ carnitas. Their pupusas are delicious and so are their tacos. Love this place, so much that I ended up ordering 120+ pupusas and some tacos for my wedding. Absolutely fantastic and all of the guests loved it. Favorite restaurant in Santa Cruz.

Taquería Jalapeños & Pupusería offers a variety of traditional dishes, including pupusas, empanadas, and burritos. While some reviewers have found the pupusas to be slightly runny and the curtido to be average, others have raved about the loroco and enjoyed their overall dining experience. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the ambiance is cozy and well-maintained. Customers have praised the food, especially the pupusas and torta, though some found the breakfast burrito to be too meat-heavy and mushy. The restaurant provides chips and access to a salsa bar with basic sauces, and drinks like pineapple spinach are highly appreciated. However, one critique is the high price of water, costing $4 for a small bottle. Overall, it remains a popular spot for flavorful traditional dishes in a warm setting.
