Been going here for many years and it has always been a must stop and touted as my favorite coffee anywhere. We live out of state and visited recently. I was so unfortunately let down by the taste being mediocre and I had to ask them to heat it up as it was barely luke warm.. probably heated to around 100°. I asked if they could make it warmer and they popped it in the microwave. Sad to see it go down hill.
Good service and coffee. Little outdoor seating area.

This place is amazing;; I wish there were more places like it! They offer several varieties of dark roast and several varieties of medium and light roast. Choose the one you want and they will do a pour over for you at their brew bar which can accomodate up to 8 separate pour overs at one time. They also have a variety of expresso based drinks. The price was reasonable and the service was timely. There is seating available indoors as well as outdoors.

Awesome coffee shop that seems like a staple of the community, with a warm vibe. Very easily accessible from the main bus station by Trader Joes.

While the coffee was great, we unfortunately encountered terrible service this morning from an employee named Jermey. He was incredibly rude and condescending as we tried to place our order. We entered the café and ordered drinks for our family of four. With no one in line behind us, I’m unsure whether we were taking too long or if he was simply inconvenienced by my three-year-old changing his mind while he was still ringing us up. Jermey hadn’t moved from behind the register, so adjusting the order on the screen should not have been a hassle. He hadn’t made any drinks or picked anything out of the pastry case yet.
To add to the discomfort, we overheard him mumbling about us to his coworker during our order. At the very least, he could have waited until we left the counter to insult us! When my toddler attempted to wave and say hello as we waited for our drinks, Jermey blatantly ignored him. He was cleaning the display case less than a yard from where we sat. He definitely heard my son.
During our entire stay in Santa Cruz, we have experienced nothing but kindness from the people here, making this experience particularly shocking and disappointing. It’s unfortunate that our last interaction in this wonderful town was with Jermey, who seemed intent on treating us as if we were beneath him

It takes them twelve minutes to produce a cup of black coffee; when you have it, it’s lukewarm. In both ways, you’re better off @ McD’s
Came here once for coffee on a busy Sunday. It took them, no exaggerating, over 30 minutes to get the coffee. Never again
