Good beers and really good sandwiches. Had a delicious bahn mi and my partner had a tasty grilled goat cheese sandwich. Nice spot to hand out on their patio and enjoy the sun.

Price vs quality (+/-) in favor of the brewery , had a Ruben sandwich, essentially tasteless, pickle needed CPR ( resuscitation ), there appeared to be sauerkraut , however it was not evident by tasted, partner has goat cheese sandwich, again a tasteless mush of ???, service is essential self serve, at total cost $60+ hands down I would expect way more quality and service ,,

One of my fave places, but be aware of a creep in the area. He is unsafe to both men AND women.

Went there on January 31st and told it was closed. There were no signs and Google Maps temporary closed isn't updated by the new owners. They are changing ownership and according to their Instagram they are closed until March 1st.

Had a delicious Cider here. Great atmosphere. But service was subpar, very standoff-ish.

Great option for lunch! Was so excited for the banh mi but slightly let down it had parsley instead of cilantro. I guess the menu does say “herbs” but jalapeños were absent. Would be 5 stars if it had the cilantro, jalapeños, and more pickled daikon and carrot and aioli as it was a bit dry to match the bread. I’ll try to pork next time but it was sold out. Definitely want a decent banh mi in this town!Update!! Had pork banh mi January 2024. Contains one small slice of pork the size of slice of bacon for $15. The bread was way more fresh and more aioli and pickled veggies packed a punch. Still no jalapeño. Still looking for a truly amazing banh mi that seem to be so inexpensive and commonplace in other towns.

This place really sucks way overpriced garbage and the service is a joke will never go back. It took about twenty minutes before anyone took the order and then the beer was warm ??????

Love this brewery!! Super friendly and welcoming staff, excited to tell you about the beer and help you taste and find one you really like and they have a great variety of different beer to choose from. They have a great patio and live music a lot of the time. I will choose this brewery over Humble Sea every single time. Definitely come and support this local brewery when you’re on Santa Cruz looking for a chill spot with good vibes and good beer.

I would say this was more of a 3.5 experience, but I rounded up to 4 due to the beers being pretty tasty, dogs being allowed, and the location being lively. The food was alright. It's not too highly priced, but for what you get...eh, I kind of think it is a little over priced. The sandwiches are small and thin and you get a slice of pickle with them. So, for about $12.00 I'm not entirely convinced we got our money's worth. They tasted alright, but there wasn't anything exceptional about them, and they certainly weren't loaded with meat, etc. My sister and I shared a pastrami sandwich (not sure what they called it on the menu), and my nephew had the egg salad. We also had the brewery pretzel, which was really good. So, that's definitely worth a try. It came out really hot, and it was nice and soft and fresh tasting. The beer cheese and beer mustard were nice compliments to it, but it was good just on it's own too. And if you bring your dog the dog bone is really big and was a huge hit with all of the dogs that were there gnawing down on their bones. We all also tried the samplers for the beers. The beers were pretty good. My gripe would be that they didn't have one of the beers I picked, so they just picked for me without asking me. I had tried to get all different types of beers, so I could see what their beers were like. When they picked they added a second IPA to my sampler. I would have rather tried the Blonde or the Sour, just something different, but I wasn't given that option which kind of annoyed me.The other thing is that the waitresses weren't really that nice. In their defense, they were busy, but I have a hard time with servers who can't at least be cordial. I'm not even asking for a fake smile either. We merely asked a question on how seating works. We had waited until the server was cleaning a table to ask her, so as not to bother her while she was with a customer, and we approached her saying, 'excuse me'. She was so visibly irritated and curt. And when our food was delivered the other waitress just pretty much dropped it and couldn't even be bothered to speak to us. The only time they were friendly to us is when we bussed our own table. And before someone chides me in their head for saying this, I have done this job. I know it can really suck, but part of the job is customer service. It takes a second to be cordial to a customer. And I'm not saying you have to put up with abusive customers, but if a simple question about how your restaurant works annoys someone that much then it may be time to switch it up. As for seating, it's on a first come basis. It gets really crowded, so you just have to wait and watch for something to open up. Thankfully, with the way the patio is you don't get those annoying people hovering over your table like vultures as you are finishing up. It's separated enough that the people waiting stand on the other side of the half fence structure. You also scan the code to order from the menu and pay upfront. So, you can order as fast or as slow as your would like. Then the waitresses bring the food out to you when it's ready. The atmosphere is lively and it's a really busy area. It gets a lot more crowded in the afternoon too. We were there early and just made a day of bouncing around to different places for a few hours. Would I return? Most likely not. But, if someone wanted to go there I wouldn't persuade them otherwise. It's an ok place, with a lively atmosphere so if you want to go somewhere with a good vibe it would work.
