What we didn't like: - having the ice and water station so close to us as it was quite noisy - we looked up the menu online but it didn't match the menu in the restaurant (staff says the webpage is rarely updated) - the food was somewhat bland unfortunately - the impossible burger on the menu came as a mix of impossible, beyond and garbanzo burger (according to staff), which wasn't mentioned on the menu What we liked: - the overall atmosphere - the drinks - the fries We will probably be back at some point and hope this visit was just a fluke. Otherwise it's too pricey.

We were very disappointed. We had a guest from South Africa with us. I was actually embarrassed. We were left at front desk at least 15 min. We waited 25 min to be offered a drink Then another 15/20 min to give the order. Waited another 25 for the food to arrive. Order Wrong with two plates The lady that helped us let us know she was not normally a waitress. We had a reservation too. Sad after spending a fortune.

it was a bit noisy but maybe because it is Burger Week. we came in to try the burger and was surprised to have to pay for a side of fries. our server was nice but we could barely hear the musician due to level of noise in the restaurant. excellent wine choices and burger was good although not super hot when it arrived.

Staff failed to live up to their assurances to bring water and start heaters, promptly deliver our simple food orders, and statement that manager would deliver orders and apologize for the delay. But the view was super, the coctails, the sweet potato fries, and the burgers were super good. We will write this off as a bad day and return to test this hypothesis.
The 3 of us went to the view for a family dinner. We were seated wierdly 3 in a row setup on the patio but not at a table. Our reservation was made 3 weeks before requesting the patio. The appetizer arrived before our drinks did. The entree scallops were slightly under but had nice sear. The food was good overall. The server was inexperienced with wine service.

Food and service was okay, the restaurant is nice but definitely does not make up for the food and service. Prices are on the high side given that the food and service are not great. Definitely won't be coming back.

Where to begin? To say our expectations were exceeded is not nearly enough. The food was wonderful, the ambience was serene, but the staff and management all went above and beyond to ensure we had one of the most memorable nights of our lives! We came in as a large party for a surprise engagement dinner and the staff worked with us and FOR us. Lynn in particular holds a special place in our hearts for orchestrating the evening. We are forever grateful.

We had a great time every time we ate in The View. The weather was perfect and we had great time celebrating the 87th birthday of our dear Mom. Keep it up to the management and crews of this prestigious restaurant. God bless!

Food had to be sent back to be reheated as it arrived lukewarm. But tasty overall! Need to get a sports package for their TVs as Golden State Warriors were playing but they had some other game on, and said they didn't have access to Warriors games. ?

We were seated by a door to outside dining and every time servers went in and out, we got a cold blast of air. Menu was uninspired and geared toward the spa guests, a captive audience. For the price, we could have done much better somewhere else.
I normally dine outdoors but due to the weather we dined indoors near the bar. There was a child making a lot of noise but kids will be kids so no problem. We ordered off the brunch/lunch menu and did not realize that toast was an "extra" for some of the breakfast items. The lighting was a bit harsh where we sat but we still had a view which was nice. We had a bottle of bubbles and each ordered a glass of wine and love the selections of libations. Our wait staff was nice and no complaints on service. Hope to come back and dine outside and enjoy that amazing view. I wish they offered a "locals" night or deals for those of us that live in Santa Cruz area.
Ordered trout and received a plate full of bones, birria grilled cheese was closer to a pot roast than birria. Andrew our server was very helpful and helped our night at the restaurant not be so terrible.

Sat outside on a sunny Christmas Day and couldn't have been happier! Our party of 6 were all quite pleased with the fabulous buffet, the variety and quality, and the views and ambiance could not be beat.

If there is 6 in the option, I and my husband would rate them 6. We were very satisfied with our dining experience. The patio had a fantastic view! We sat in a place where we could also get a warm sun while watching the view and enjoying our food. The buffet was great. There was a lot of selections. The staff and service were also great! We will definitely go back to this restaurant.

We had to request a manager to move us out of the over flow room into a room closer to the Buffett despite having family in their 80s dining with us and being the first reservation of the day. After about 45 minutes not one person was seated in the overflow room and only 1 other family was seated in the same room with us adjacent to the food. We could not understand the hassle when there was so much seating available the duration of the meal and my parents having obvious mobility issues. This was our second time at the Xmas buffet. We were hoping to make it a tradition but we're never coming back. My parents wondered if there was discrimination involved.
