By total accident we stumbled upon this tiny place . They serve the best vegan sushi ! They actually have vegan fish that looks , tastes and smells like actual fish ! 4.5 stars rounded up. A huge vegan section of the menu that features both faux fish as well as creative vegetable rolls. Service can be at the table or at the counter, very casual but they are helpful with suggestions. We started with the miso soup, which had a hearty base with seaweed and tofu (excellent) and the steamed vegetable gyoza served with a very sour sauce (pass). This visit, we got the Rainbow Goblin, Missing Piece, and Cuerno de Chivo rolls. All 3 were superb and would highly recommend. Everything was very fresh and the had a good mix of flavors and textures (the nuts were a great touch!) We'll be returning here whenever we visit Santa Cruz.

Fabulous vegan sushi! The employee at the counter welcomed us and took our order. And then the food started rolling! We enjoyed a veggie gyoza and cucumber salad to share, the had the Cuerno de Chivo and Rainbow Goblin rolls. Fabulous. I really didn't realize at first that everything was vegan. Delicious! Fun, funky vibe with an amazing amount of seating for such a compact restaurant. Fun stop!

I ordered a sushi roll and each piece was inconsistent to the rest in terms of the amount of each type of food in each bite. The portions were also extremely small for the price, I spent a total of 30$ worth of only food and it was not fulfilling for a meal. The seating was also cramped and uncomfortable. Would not recommend.

Wow, incredible vegan sushi selection. Well made, fresh and delicious. A great addition to the Santa Cruz vegan scene and also regular sushi so it’s good for everyone.
Holy Moly! We absolutley love it! We search something for dinner. Found this place with good reviews. So we try... Traditional but also much new variations! (and tons of vegan options) You should try "the buzzrito" - very tasty (they made it mild for me) Thank you guys!

This place is a great place to experience. The food is amazing, fresh and memorable. Joey made the experience all more welcoming which made us feel like we were home. Do not come to Santa Cruz without coming here.

I was in town and wanted to find a good spot that was rated good. After a short stroll I came across the Buzz. It was amazing!! Fish was great, fresh, and layer out very pleasingly. The owner was personally making everything. Very fun to speak to and had some great stories to tell. You can see why his employees are happy working around him. I will make this my only Sushi place from here on out when I am in Santa Cruz.
