We had a great birthday celebration at the Crepe Place last weekend. It was a group of ten, and we started outside, but when it started sprinkling, they quickly whisked our group inside. Sarah, our server, was so friendly and attentive, and all if the staff were great. I was so excited to see not just gluten-free crepes, but gluten--free English muffins for the bennies. The GF crepe was delicious. Hadn't been there in a while, but I plan to go back soon.

Crepes were good but not something I'd lose sleep for, and overpriced, in my opinion. I love crepes and I think that the possibilities are endless with them, yet their options were not too varied and some of them were at $20+, which seems just.. high.

Inside is kinda funky/feels like a bar (I guess it is a bar), but the back garden patio is wonderful and tranquil. Also my kids loved it because they felt like they were "in the forest." My kids also very much enjoyed the fried appetizers, but really who doesn't love popcorn shrimp and tater tots? (I also very much enjoyed the tater tots). The crepes are very good and quite filling. We got savory crepes which is their main thing. The clam chowder was interesting - I like it a little creamier myself, but the flavor was still good. The fresh bread that comes with the meal is really quite nice and comes out hot! The whole atmosphere feels very relaxed and calm (that's not to say slow). Great place to go for a date, but also for families. I suppose it's not super cheap, but also not wildly expensive. You do get a good amount of food for your money.

My friends and I stumbled into this place the other day in search of crepes and were pleasantly surprised. We didn't know they specialized in savory crepes specifically but the few dessert crepes they had really hit the spot. We sat in the bar area instead of the dining room and the service was still great! The drinks were amazing and the ambiance of the bar overall was really cool :)
This is the best restaurant in all of Santa Cruz! The food is incredible. The atmosphere and ambience is so cute. You need to try this place!

The restaurant was nice, but I just had a negative experience with a server/host. When I was ordering, she asked me “soup or salad.” So I replied salad. Little did I know it cost extra money! I thought it came with the meal since she was the one who said “soup or salad” when I originally just said I wanted a crepe. I was confused why I got billed the dinner price ($6 more) during lunch and asked. She said it was because I ordered the salad which was a meal. I was so confused because she was the one who brought up “soup or salad”, so how was I supposed to know it cost extra when I didn’t even ask for it and she made it seem like it was part of the meal! Also, she never said it was an additional cost (or optional) so I thought I had to choose a soup or salad with my meal, when I actually didn’t have to choose one AT ALL! So, if the server asks you soup or salad, just know it costs EXTRA and does NOT come with your meal.

I love the casual hippie wood and ferns vibe to this place. Outdoor seating is lovely and the bar is fun. The food is fine and the portions are generous.
