Had to give a star for this review to be accepted but didn’t want to leave any stars. Band too loud and practicing before performance time, very rude owner Anna, over charged us, smelled old and musty. Will never go back.

I hate to give negative reviews because I know how hard it is to run a business... But I would not go back to this place. Food seems like it came straight from Costco and was highly processed, small portions and overpriced. The place itself is not particularly appealing or comfortable. I will say that the service was excellent from the owner. Plus it is expensive to park on the wharf.

My wife and I set a business meeting with Anna. We poured multiple wines for her. She expressed interest in purchasing 1 case of 3 different wines. She expressed interest in doing wine-maker activities. She said she would fill out the seller's form and get it back to us right away. We came all the way down from Livermore via San Jose to have this business meeting. Then, silence. My wife left multiple texts and voicemails over the next 2-3 weeks asking about status. She asked for a simple 'no thank you' but we got zero response. I sent a message through the website, no response. I left a message on the Vino by the Sea voicemail requesting a callback, nothing.Anna, you shouldn't engage people for business and then just blow them off. I will no longer be recommending your venue to any of my hundreds of wine friends and customers. I certainly will never spend a dime in your place. Your lack of integrity is disgusting. Thanks for wasting out time.

Vino by the Sea is a fantastic place to unwind with a friend and a glass of wine, or to host a private event. The staff is phenomenal, fun and knowledgable. The owner goes above and beyond to make every experience personal and meaningful. Now, with live music almost every night, Vino by the Sea brings out our dancing shoes. One of the last stops on the Santa Cruz wharf. Cozy wine place on the 2nd floor with great people running it. We spent a lovely hour here, sharing a bottle which was reasonably priced and enjoyed the sunset. Hoping to visit soon and often.
